We recently stayed at this hotel and overall it was okay, but there were several issues.
The room itself was clean and fairly nice. The only complaint about the room setup was that the TV was definitely too small for the size of the space. We brought our own toiletries, so it didn’t affect us much, but the hotel only provided shampoo and facial soap — no hand soap, body soap, or conditioner.
The outside conditions were a major concern. The grounds were extremely snowy and very icy. There didn’t appear to be any shoveling or proper ice maintenance. We actually fell once because of how slippery it was. There were huge snowbanks, and you had to walk through a couple of inches of built-up ice just to get inside the door.
We were also not given the WiFi password at check-in and had to call staff to get that information. Additionally, we had to call staff to receive a room key. The room itself did not have an additional interior lock, which made us feel a bit uneasy from a safety standpoint.
The staff were friendly overall. They initially tried to charge us for our service dog, but later apologized and refunded the charge, which we appreciated.
Overall, I would rate this hotel around a 2.5 to 3 stars. It wasn’t terrible, but there are definitely areas that need improvement — especially winter maintenance and basic guest information at check-in.
