This is my fourth stay at this hotel. Usually my experience is OK, but many things went wrong. When I got to the room, water was running loudly. It was the toilet. The same issue happened last time I stayed, and I reported it. I removed the top lid—the chain was tangled that goes to the plunger that closes. It couldn’t close as the chain was too short. I untangled it, and fixed it.
At 9:35 AM, housekeeping (a man) knocked on my door asking about me leaving. I had thought checkout was at 11, but a woman housekeeper stayed outside my door talking loudly on her cell. So I called the front desk at 10:05 and asked what time checkout is, and she said 11. I told her the housekeeper was outside my door in the hallway talking loudly on her cell for a half hour. She said, “It’s okay unless someone knocks on your door.” I told her someone knocked. She said they shouldn’t until after 11. I confirmed, and said they are talking loudly in the hallway. She said the housekeeper was probably cleaning the room across the hallway. I put the phone up for her to hear. She said she heard her and told me I could check out at 11.
At 9 PM, I went to use the jacuzzi. It wouldn’t come on. I reported it when I checked out today (the room is $50 more with the jacuzzi), and the receptionist said, “Okay, thank you.”
I’ll go back to Rodeway Inn: Nicer people, jacuzzi works, they offer a refund if something is off, and no one on a second floor, which kept me awake until midnight and woke me at 5:30 AM.
