Drive right past it to somewhere nicer.
On arrival our 2 night booking could not be found we were then given a room overlooking a roof directly outside the laundry and cleaners room. When I asked to change rooms the boy on reception said they were full, rubbish, there was about a dozen people in the hotel. The place is old, in need of a massive upgrade in the rooms and there’s a reason the bathroom is not in the picture of the room, it was the size of a broom cupboard with old plastic sink and toilet and the shower would be very cosy for a larger person. There’s no kettle or water in the room either. Some parts of the hotel have been upgraded, outside has a nice patio and play area overlooking the water. There’s no lift so hauling cases up 3 flights is not fun. Overall we left after one night and didn’t look back, there’s nothing in town but a run down shop so keep driving.

Hei Steven We are sorry that you experienced so many negative points. As your booking was for 2 nights, so the reception was right in saying that we were full, only in the first night we werent. We get many positive responses for the room you stayed. The washroom is right in front of room 208. We should keep the door closed, and we are sorry for that. Anyway, that was not the view from the window of room 208. :) I did not understand quite well about "no water in the room". In Norway we all drink from the foucet. Maybe plast cups were missing? Well, we are so sorry that your stay in Svelgen was not pleasant.
