We booked this hotel largely because of the breakfast, and as other reviewers have noted, it was excellent. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was disappointing for a 3-star Holiday Inn.
The biggest issue was housekeeping. During our almost two week stay, it took three days of requests for our room to be serviced. After asking at reception two days in a row, and even requesting a garbage bag so we could take out our own trash, housekeeping finally came. They removed the trash, made the bed, and left a stack of towels on the counter. I’ve never experienced a hotel stay where we had to repeatedly ask for such a basic service.
We paid for a “one-bedroom suite” intending for a family member to stay with us for a night in our four-person room, only to find that there was no actual bedroom door—just a wide doorway separating the two spaces. The website hasn’t been updated to reflect the current room layout.
Additionally, the hotel hosts local swimming lessons in the pool, which made it uncomfortable and difficult to use during our stay.
While the breakfast was great, the overall experience did not meet expectations for this brand.
