Mount Bagana, an active volcano in Torokina district of Bougainville. Although it is hard to get to (3 hours by banana boat from Buka), Torokina is a beautiful place to visit.
Up in the hills of Torokina district in Bougainville, there is a lovely little guest house at Pigu. There is a little waterfall and swimming hole. And Sylvester the patriarch will cook you up a storm (of freshwater prawns caught upstream) and then show you the traditional wooden masks he makes.
