Located on a secluded mountain in the heart of a national park and surrounded by mighty spruce trees, this wonderful mountain lodge is straight out of a shepherd’s fairy tale.
A perfect place for relaxing and unwinding amidst unspoiled nature, this two-bedroom chalet is a nature lover’s paradise. One would forget about TV and technology and immerse in the mesmerizing landscape. The sunny cottage was renovated in 2014. The appliances function on solar power which is sufficient when used wisely. In front of the cottage, there is a gas and brick grill where guests can prepare delicious dishes and enjoy on the massive table and benches meant for dining and socializing outdoors.
On the ground floor of the house, there is a kitchen with fittings made of solid spruce wood. The guests will find a brick wood stove here, which is also used for heating the cottage during the winter season. Additionally, there is also an oven, a cooker hob, an electric kettle and a fridge in the open kitchen for easy meal preparations. There is a dining area right next to it and a living room with a sofa. A steep staircase takes one to the first floor where there are two bedrooms for a total of six guests.

Bedroom 1: Under the sloped ceiling, guests will find three single beds and a wardrobe.
Bedroom 2: The second bedroom is quite similar to the first bedroom and also has three single beds.

Location
The renovated alpine hut with a fenced garden is located at 1330 meters above sea level. The area around the house can be explored on hiking and cycling trails. It is a real treat to pick forest fruits, especially blueberries, raspberries, wild strawberries and herbs. During the autumn season, guests can pick mushrooms in the clearing under the house. On walks around the house, admire the diverse flora and fauna of the region, high bogs, rare settlements with alpine huts where it is recommended to try home-made dairy products from local shepherds like cheese, cottage cheese, whey, milk, sour milk and žganci. And if you love them too much, you may also buy them. For those who would like a little more adrenaline-fuelling activities, try biathlon shooting and skateboarding. During winters, at about 30-60 minutes’ drive, guests will find skiing slopes. The nearest restaurant is about 4 kilometers and the shops are in the main town area which is about 10 kilometers.
For day trips, consider Bohinj lake (32 minutes), Bled Lake (34 minutes), gorges, caves, waterfalls, Bled castle and Island, museums and more. Guests may also enjoy the alpine flower festival, cow ball and fishing festival in Bohinj.
