We booked the "rockstar suite".. my only regret is not spending more time at Selina. Beautiful BoHo property, loved the size and privacy of the suite, and the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Looking forward to staying again soon!

Attention aux photos trompeuses. Les chambres Deluxe présentées avec les boiseries et briquettes ne sont pas celles louées. Soit disant Expédia et Booking auraient mélangé les photos... le petit déjeuner inclus ne permet pas d'avoir ni fruit, ni jus d'orange. Il faut payer un supplément. Bel bâtisse, bien placée mais c'est un peu l'arnaque aux touristes...

Bien situé mais mauvais accueil
Hôtel bien placé et agréable dans l’ensemble. En revanche accueil catastrophique. Nous sommes arrivés à minuit après notre long vol. La personne de l’accueil ne parlait pas un mot d’anglais et nous n’arrivions pas à nous faire comprendre. Il a voulu nous faire payer le soir même alors que nous avions déjà payé mais surtout il nous a donné une chambre ne correspondant pas du tout à notre réservation. Elle était propre certaine, mais sans fenêtre et salle de bain. Ce n’était pas du tout ce que nous avions réservé. Nous avons contester mais rien à faire. Accueil très désagréable !

Ficou a desejar
A localização era boa mas houve muitas coisas que deixaram a desejar. Reservei um quarto com ar condicionado e sou surpresa com a chegada ao quarto atribuído sem esse equipamento. A entrada para o quarto era escura e pingava água do tecto pelo que tinham um balde la na nossa entrada mesmo. Água era muito pouca. Aconteceu várias vezes estar a lavar a cara e a água acabar e o mesmo no banho, que ficamos sem água a meio do banho, nem quente nem fria. Quente era uma sorte ter. A cama não era confortável, era bastante dura. O lavatório entupia frequentemente com pouca quantidade de água. Ouvia se também bastante ruído dos outros hóspedes. No geral, a experiência não foi boa.

Looks just like it did in the pictures. They play loud music which can get annoying at times. They usually stop before 11pm. Drinks are overpriced and food is okay. There is a breakfast place up the street to the right. You will need other options. Also they have heaters so request one. Overall 4/5

We booked a room with a private bathroom. When we arrived, we were told that we would have to use a shared bathroom. We immediately changed locations, but the property still charged us full price. The receipt clearly showed the room was booked with a private bathroom, but the guy at the desk said that recent rain had caused a shortage of rooms. He apologized, but still charged me full price.

The walls in the older portion of the property are very thin ir not completely sealed between rooms. Noise between rooms is loud and can inhibit sleep in this front area.

Hello Rebecca, I am sorry to hear that your experience has not been the best, indeed as you say this is not an isolated issue, just recently we did a soundproofing test in one of the rooms you mention and after that we will soundproof the rest. For the time being we have tried to be careful in our party schedules and bar service in order to reduce this impact. Thank you because your comments give us a north to follow.

The hostel/hotel is more of a restaurant than a venue to stay. I was in the main building above the bar in a private room (booked for peace) and live music begins very early at 7am and runs until 11pm. They had people selling goods in the foyer. More interested in profit than giving their guests a restful nights sleep. There is definitely a balance that needs to be achieved. I was told the music would end at 9pm, it went on until 11pm so I had to complain and was met with blank stares from management. I asked for country managers details to complain, I was never sent these. Terrible hostel. Would not recommend at all.

Hi Safah, it's a pity that your stay didn't go as planned. I see that you coincided with one of the local fairs that happen at the location once a month, we will take your preference into account so that on your next stay you will be placed in a room at the back of the building where you will surely have a better rest. Continuing with what you mentioned, we are operating in a heritage house of the city that was built in 1850, this means that due to the construction methods of the time the soundproofing is not what we need, we are working hand in hand with a professional soundproofing company that will surely help us with this. I hope you give us another opportunity to feel the real experience that Selina offers.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Selina hostel. It was within walking minutes of a few museums, a convenience store, restaurants, and the plaza de bolivar. The room we stayed in (rockstar suite) was amazing! The floors were creaking a lot but the views were amazing ( Monserrate, Guadalupe hill, church, city skyscrapers). Felt like we were staying at an apartment. The property was very lively, lots of young travelers! Reception was very helpful. Hostel offers COVID tests and some free tours. Felt safe since they always had a security guard in front of the property. I would recommend for any young travelers! Would not recommend for families because it does get pretty loud at night since they have a lounging area and restaurant/bar. Would definitely come back to this hostel if I come back to bogota.

The Candelaria area is the perfect area to stay at while in Bogota. It’s close to do the amazing Graffiti tour that the hostel recommends. The hostel offers a lot of activities to get to know Bogota in the best way. Lively music at night, staff is very helpful. Huge thanks to Jack at the front desk for helping me book my bus.

La entrada se ve muy hien y la recibida por parte del hostel estuvo muy bien… pero al pasar terrible… pedi habitación con baño solo y no me dieron eso luego me dijeron que no habia gente en el cusrto con el que compartiría baño, y si había… llegue a las 3 al hotel y estaba lleno de papeles sucios las papeleras… no habia papel para secarse tampoco…la habitscion tan pequeña que apenas tenes espacio para la maleta la luz del cuarto tenia fallos y se papaga y se encendían solas… la regadera se estsnca el agua… y pasaron 24 horas y seguían sin hacer la limpieza del baño… que terrible y mas en baño compartidos que deberían de ser mas. Seguida! Definitivamente no vuelvo y no lo recomiendo DEMASIADO caro por lo que es y el servicio… ubicación buena por estar en el centro si sos de ese ambiente…

Location was super. We walked all over, including to Monserrate teleferico. Front desk and bar staff were excellent. Highly recommend if you want to stay in the old town of Bogota. Can't wait to return someday.

O hotel é um hostel, não vale a pena pegar o quarto privado para ter conforto. Não tem ar condicionado nem calefação. Não tem televisão no quarto. Café da manhã muito simples. Pelo preço do quarto privado, você encontra melhores opções.

Siempre una buena opción
El lugar está muy COOL y con excelente ubicación! Lo único para agregar es que podrían poner más empeño en la limpieza pero ok en lo general. Recomendado y volvería a hospedarme ahí.

El hotel es muy bonito y tiene muy buena ubicación. Lo único malo es que hace mucho frío en las habitaciones. El personal del hotel muy amable. Gracias

Pros: The property is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. Comfy beds. Mostly friendly staff. Junior is the best! Cons: Noise. Walls are very thin and hotel has construction all around, street noise, internal noise, etc. If you are a light sleeper in any sense of the word, it's a pass. Some staff were unfriendly and it was difficult/very slow to order breakfast.
