I stayed overnight with my adult daughter, and we had a great visit. The property is charming…perhaps a little outdated-but I felt it added to the charm! The office lady was very helpful-as was all the staff we encountered. They allowed us to keep our bags near the office when we arrived early before the check-in time-and also allowed the same after checkout-so we could continue to enjoy the island for the whole day, catching the final ferry out at night.

Hello Suzanne, I am very sorry we fell sort of your expectations. We review our rates each year in comparison to other properties on the the island to stay competitive. Our rates always are significantly lower than the full service inns. There are some limitations to a historic inn such as the size of he bathrooms and perhaps keeping to the look of times past was not in your taste, but that is a common theme on Block Island. I hope you enjoyed our beautiful setting of 20 acres of farm land looking out to the ocean and our many beautiful gardens. I hope you walked out over the fields in the evening and sat at our fire pit and enjoyed the starlit sky and soft ocean breeze. We are unique in our own way.With my best wishes,Judith B. So happy we chose Rose Farm!
Fantastic location, excellent service and amenities. The rooms were in good condition which isn't always true on Block Island. Breakfast was cold continental served in a cute room with nice view.

The inn is situated on the island in an area that has a lot to offer. The Spring House, Atlantic in were right next-door for dinner options. The 1661 farm and animals abut the property which was so nice to see and visit each morning and night. The manager and all staff were lovely and the bicycle rentals are right on property also. The AC was great the views were beautiful from my room (partial ocean view). The continental breakfast was a nice way to start, just basics just enough to fuel up for Daytripping!

We liked that this property was in a quiet area of the island, although “centrally located” is only true geographically, not in relation to beaches, shopping, or restaurants. Our room was comfortable and having a window on two sides allowed us to use the breeze rather than the air conditioning. The main house deck is a great place to spend early mornings and late afternoons if you don’t look toward the Spring House parking lot. My only suggestion would be to add some lower carb breakfast options for diabetic guests. We would recommend this place to friends and family.

Cozy and clean
We had a great stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a nice view and was very clean. The farm is walking distance to downtown and there were plenty of bikes available to rent. The bed was comfy and the room was a great size.

Love Rose Farm Inn
We weren't sure if it was going to be cold or hot so we brought entirely too many clothes. The first room was a little small due to our error and they found another room for us. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was friendly and caring. We will definitely go back. I should mention that the grounds were absolutely lovely.

What we did like was the staff was friendly and helpful and the location was quiet and away from the busy downtown area but still within walking distance. What we did not like was there was no microwave (to reheat dinner leftovers) no coffee pot and no sink (other than the bathroom). We were looking forward to using the fire pit and were told the phone number to call when we wanted to use it, but when the time came, we called and were told that it wasn't working. That was disappointing as we had made plans around using the fire pit.
