«We stayed overnight after visiting the tank museum and heading back up north. Welcoming staff and beautifully renovated inn. The rooms initially seem slightly expensive - until you walk in and realize you have a 'unit' rather than a room - large bedroom, large bathroom and superb lounge with fridge containing milk and chilled water. The rooms are well equipped with two flat screen TVs - next time we'll arrive earlier to enjoy the rooms more!»

«Great people and a perfect room. Good location for visiting many places in Dorset. The inn is an old thatched building with a decent beer garden and covered outdoor eating. The food is very good pub fayre and there are interesting specials. On Friday and Saturday delicious pizzas are also served, cooked in the outdoor wood fired pizza oven Breakfast is included with the room and there are a good variety of choices with quality ingredients. A great find that we will revisit if ever on holiday ...

«At £95 for the night I felt this was a bit much for the room I had. Bar staff were nice, no WIFI in the bedroom. A bit quiet in the bar, owner was busy on lap top and no music, not very atmospheric. The village is beautiful though»

«A lovelly pub set in a pretty Dorset village where we overnighted enroute to a further Dorset location. Comfortable large rooms, good food from the restaurant and friendly staff. I'd happily stay here again..»
