Amazing Historic Montana House. Hot Tub, Large Deck, On Golf Course A++ Location

Historic Montana House property that has it all!!! The home was built in 1973 by Grandma Big Sky. Complete 14 month renovation. Location, location, location 17th tee box. Best lot on the golf course and you will see why when you arrive for your vacation. The view is incredible of mountains through huge new windows from the kitchen, dining and main living room. Open floor plan. Two en suite King bedrooms and the other two bedrooms share a full bathroom. One King and one with 2 twin beds.
Bring your family or friends to enjoy Big Sky activities right outside the front door. Everything Big Sky has to offer is that close. Walk to Town Center, Shuttle or Drive to Mountain Center (about 15 minutes) for Downhill Skiing in the winter and Mountain Biking/Hiking in the summer.

From the property enjoy Cross Country Skiing (the groomed trail runs on the west property line) take it around the golf course or if you feel ambitious you can head to Lone Mountain Ranch for lunch or a cocktail. Mountain Biking/Hiking winter or summer. Watch from the deck or partake in Sledding for the adults/kids down the hill from the 17th tee box. Fly fishing in the summer(West Fork of the Gallatin River is a stones throw past the Tee Box). There are so many things to do you may not have anytime for sightseeing. Montana has a lot of that!! If that still is not enough you can relax in the hot tub and look at the scenery or stars to see how magnificent they are. It looks like a backdrop of the mountains to the north in the daylight and the stars from the hot tub after dark is magnificent. Really unbelievable.

We had a great stay! The location, and accommodations for an active group of 8 was perfect. Close to the slopes, only 30-60 min from our different Yellowstone excursions. Lots of close shops/coffeehouses/groceries near by.

Jon and Turi were easy to work with, provided us with a beautiful place to stay and were very quick to respond back to us on any questions we had. This Big Sky property was the site of our annual family reunion. We descended on MT to cheer on my daughter’s participation in the 21K Rut Race but quickly came to love the many recreational opportunities in the area. This property is within walking distance of the restaurants, shops and markets of the Town Center. It is a short ride to Big Sky Resort and we thoroughly enjoyed the ski ride lift. My grandson was thrilled by the dinosaurs at the Bozeman museum and Yellowstone Park was loved by all, a scenic one hour drive away. We capped our stay with a memorable dinner at the Horn and Cantle Restaurant. The home is lovely and as described. The views are stunning and we enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and deck area. The kitchen had an ample pantry and we enjoyed steaks on the grill. We had a wonderful trip and would recommend this location and property to all who enjoy an active vacation with an upscale environment.

The perfect location for our Montana vacation. Centrally positioned for touring Yellowstone NP and Bozeman…and let’s not forget the golf. Less than five minutes away from the grocery store, the liquor store, and restaurants. The natural beauty of the Big Sky - Yellowstone area is off the charts. I highly recommend this home for your next getaway.

Great place, great views, perfect location

Walking distance to the town center at Big Sky and a short drive up to the resort were exactly what we were looking for when we booked a long weekend here. There was an odd experience on Saturday afternoon of our short stay that kept us from using the hot tub on the trip. Would return but would share a general plan with the property owner in advance to avoid maintenance conflicts.

Big Sky getaway

This property was exactly as advertised - very clean and orderly with more stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms than I typically see at other properties. Great views especially from the hot tub and an overall great experience. The owner was very accommodating and responsive. I highly recommend this property and would use again without hesitation

Big Sky Ski Getaway

Our stay at John's property was fantastic! He was very responsive to any questions that arose, and the property is centrally located to the Town Center (10 min walk) to reach the market and mountain shuttle. The kitchen had just about everything we needed for cooking meals, and the hot tub was a great bonus after long days of skiing. We'd definitely stay here again.

Very Nice Home Close to the Hill

Overall we had a very nice three nights at this great property. Amenities include a hot tub at 103 degrees with a peekaboo view of Lone Peak. We saw a moose and two horned ear owls from the deck just soaking in the hot tub drinking champagne from plastic wine glasses. Massssive smart TV with HDMI inputs for our DVD player so the ski movies were on point. The bedrooms have their own smart TVs with Roku too! Added amenities include a coffee maker with pod option, outdoor gas grill, gorgeous views and comfy living room couches. Ten minutes to parking at the main Big Sky lot. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this listing.

Location Location Location

Super location with everything you need here. Was able to walk into the little town center with some cute shops and coffee as well as a market - the weather was great. Waking up here was like being in a snow globe. The person who was supposed to shovel the driveway never showed so that was a bummer for us to have to do but all in all it was great. Beds were comfy, bathrooms nice and well appointed.

Big Sky Big Fun

This property was as advertised beautiful and well stocked. The Hot tub was great with Fabulous views from the deck. tv wasnt working in the lving room but the owner contacted us to let us know and sent maintenance (travis) to fix it right away. Travis was a very nice and got the TV working. the was owner was avaliable easy to communicate with. Big Sky Big Fun!

First time to Montana

Nice property. Walk down 17 to 18 to a nice little creek. We spent a couple days in Yellowstone Park. It's a bit of a drive 1+ hours so if that's your plans stay closer to the park. No fault of the property owners. Nice hikes close to the property with really good restaurants. Only 50% of the hot tub jets functioned but not why we came out and not a reason to not stay here. Enjoyed the stay.

Beautiful view and good location, but house needs some updating

We just spent one week in Big Sky celebrating our son's wedding. We had five adults staying in the home and overall our experience was fine. I will say the home had many spices and leftovers from previous tenants. That was nice and we were happy to contribute additional items as well. The location to town is perfect. Close enough to walk for coffee each morning. The home view is so beautiful, but most everything in the home is pretty tired. I had the opportunity to visit some friends staying in places in town and their homes were much more updated and they had air-conditioning. This home is heated but not air-conditioned. The flower arrangements in the home need to be thrown out. Most pillows and throws need to be replaced. The carpet in man rooms including throw rugs are really old and need to be replaced. The kitchen needs to have many things replaced. Pans and utensils are just warn out. Coffee situation is complicated. One broken coffee pot and another that is strange to operate. Just a simple Keurig or simple working coffee pot is needed. Overall, the stay was fine, but we will look for more updated accommodations next time, especially for the price.

Perfect Big Sky Basecamp!

Planned a small family gathering, with ages ranging from 2-47. Such a great home to relax in and enjoy the best of Big Sky surroundings! Easy walks to nearby city center, lots of fun watching/playing golf or just unwinding in the hot tub overlooking the beautiful mountain vistas. Couldn’t have been a better home and location. The home was stocked with everything needed, and then some!
