Rich textures populate every corner of this brand-new cabin (2020), called Bea Nui Cabin, contributing to the quintessential log cabin feeling.
With vaulted ceilings to boast, this single-story log style mountain home is located in the desirable area of Fox Farm, centrally located to the lake, ski slopes, and shopping.
Knotty pine T&G with log accents are used throughout. The comfortable living area features a floor to ceiling rock fireplace, a dining area, and a spacious kitchen with a center island and additional seating.
The fully stocked kitchen features a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and all the basics. Off the dining area is a deck overlooking the backyard. Enjoy cooking on the BBQ and entertaining on the spacious deck.
Sit back and relax next to the gas burning fireplace. The airy and open floor plan allows the entire family to relax together while the kids play games at the dining table and adults sit around the kitchen island.

Accurate listing
Overall the property was satisfactory. The property is as pictured.
The property management company (Destination Big Bear) did not meet expectations and did not make us want to return to any of their managed properties.
A note for future renters:
1) although garage parking is permitted, neither a garage door remote opener nor keypad code will be provided to the renter. The only way to park in the garage is by entering through the front door, walking through the entire house, and manually opening the garage door from inside the house.
2) cleaning/toiletry amenities are extremely limited. Not that you expect to clean much in your stay, but no broom/vacuum/ANY cleaning supplies/laundry detergent/etc is provided. There is plenty of toilet paper, but not much else is provided for your stay.
3) unless stated upon arrival, Destination Big Bear will not be of much help during your stay. We had a minor problem with the cleanliness upon arrival, but because we checked in in the evening (6pm) and brought up the issue once we realized after hours and reported at 9am the next morning, they were very reluctant to help.

A quick getaway
This property is lovely and comfortable. The master bedroom and bathroom seem new. A small quibble is that the bathroom doesn't have a main door and it has an automatic light that we couldn't figure out how to turn it off. The toilet is in its own room, which nice. But, when someone got up during the night, the automatic bathroom light shined into the bedroom. We solved that by unscrewing the light bulbs at night. We had seven adults and there was more than enough room. We grilled one night and ate on the deck as much as possible. The kitchen is well stocked, except they need more coffee mugs. Some have probably been broken and not replaced yet. Our two "complaints" were very minor and easily worked around. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Lovely Mountain retreat
Great property, perfect for our group 9 adults 1 infant. Close to town, lake and some great hikes. Property management was quick to respond to any issue. We had a great time! Neighborhood was enjoyable to walk around. We would stay here again.

Beautiful, spacious home, and clean!
The home was great and spacious enough for a group of 10 people (8 adults and 2 kids). The house was very clean. The location is close to the Village and ski resort. Nice neighborhood. I would highly recommend this place.

Perfect Mountain Retreat
We stayed at this home with our two children and two other families. The home was immaculate and a perfect size for 10 people. Home was central to everything and all of the furnishings and decor were new. There was a shuffleboard table, ping-pong table, and foosball table which were so fun for the kids as were the board games that were in the house.

Mountain Bike Trip
Property was fine, check-in at management company could have been easier and avoided a trip to Destination Big Bear and should have gotten the lock box key code and gone directly to the property. I have a good rating with VRBO and rented many times and that should say something about my reliability.
