Beach Breeze is a recently constructed luxury home directly on Lake Michigan. It is perfectly situated just 5 minutes north of St. Joseph and 20 minutes south of South Haven. With over 170 feet of private sandy beach, it is the perfect spot to get away for your beach vacation. Stunning views of Lake Michigan greet you from the moment you walk up to the front door and step onto the custom white oak floors which are throughout the house.

There are 5 ensuite bedrooms including two primary suites, one of which is on first floor. There is plenty of room for the whole family, and the 5 bedrooms with 5 1/2 baths accommodate up to 14 guests. They consist of three bedrooms with king beds, one bedroom on the first floor with a queen bed, and six twin beds in the custom built-in bunkroom.

Large windows throughout Beach Breeze provide gorgeous views of Lake Michigan. Stairs with a walking path lead to a large sandy PRIVATE not association beach. The home office with glass French doors is perfect for checking in on work while getting away with your family. RH, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, Serena & Lily, and West Elm furniture grace the home.

The large custom built kitchen with quartz countertops and ample work surface is a dream in which to prepare those special meals while still enjoying views of the lake from the bank of large windows over the kitchen sink. There is a large RH dining table with ample seating.

Not only do stunning views greet you from within the house, but also there are multiple decks from which to enjoy the lake. A large deck accessible from the main living room lines the entire back of the house and is complete with Adirondack chairs. Another deck serves the main bedroom and provides the perfect spot to sip that morning coffee while watching the boats out on Lake Michigan. The east bedroom enjoys its own private deck as well. In addition, a generous screened porch with a vaulted ceiling and a bluestone patio with a fire pit are perfect spots to gather while watching the waves dance along the lake.

The portable pickleball equipment is perfect for a friendly game. The Joola Ping Pong table and air hockey provide lots of entertainment when you are not outdoors enjoying the lake. In addition, the mud room and separate laundry room add plenty of storage for all of your gear.

The large 170' sandy beach with beach sand chairs is the perfect spot to relax with a book or to build sand castles and memories. This beautiful private beach provides a special place to watch the waves dance along the shore and occasional boats floating upon the water.

Our trip was fantastic Everyone having an en suite was such a delight!The weather did not cooperate so we were very grateful for the air hockey, ping pong table, fire pit and grill. We also used bocci and corn hole.The walkway to the beach is very overgrown and is quite the challenge. Not recommended for the faint of heart. Recommend bug spray. Payoff is worth it though.Kitchen was well stocked with dishes etc.Homeowners were lovely.Would definitely stay here again.

Multifamily getaway

We had a wonderful time at this home celebrating my father’s 80th. We had 3 families and 4 children. Plenty of space, can’t beat the stunning views of the lake and sunset. We got to meet the sweet and helpful owners as well. The reason for 4 stars is we found it lacking in some of the amenities you would expect for the cost and the purpose of the rental. There is only 1 fridge and so we used a cooler to keep drinks and addl food cold. The house could use a garage fridge or bev fridge. Limited kitchen tools and pans, and no wine opener, no wine glasses/bareware (just milky plastic wine cups). The hosts did help us when we shared that the coffee bean grinder was missing and coffee pot was broken. There was also only 1 low-quality bath towel for each person, no extras. No cleaning supplies which I think basics are necessary when you are there for a week and need to clean a toilet or something. Curtains are thin and white- consider bringing a sleeping mask if you need the room to be darker. As another review pointed out, layout makes it a little noisy but that didn’t bother us too much. These are all minor issues, but given the cost of the rental felt some of those details I would expect from a luxury stay were missing.

The house is a great location right on the waterfront where you can see the lake from any window! They had plenty of space for 8 adults and 3 kids to have sleep & have their own bathrooms. The kitchen table was perfect for large family meals and there were ample places to hang - back patio with the fire pit, top back porch, and screen-in porch. The sunsets were beautiful! The stairs to the private beach were long (180 steps) but doable for two 70 year olds and worth the privacy. Would stay again!

Family Reunion

We had many different age groups stay with us over a three week period, ranging from age 18 to 80, and the house accommodated us all beautifully. It is in tip top condition and offers many amenities. The beach is lovely and the sun sets are beautiful. We enjoyed it very much.

Beach Breeze is the Best!

We had an amazing time at this wonderful home. It is thoughtfully designed for family time from the open kitchen to the table that seats 10, to the outdoor fire pit, to the gorgeous sunsets, lovely beach, ping pong and game tables, and ample lawn space, while still providing private rooms and baths for all. And the main suite -- just wow, what a view! The place was clean, beds comfy and the hosts could not have been nicer or more helpful. You will not be disappointed by anything at Beach Breeze!

Great getaway house!

Fabulous house. Well laid out with open floor plan, lots of great living space, and a great big kitchen. LOTS of counter space and great kitchen tools and utensils. Bedrooms were all comfortable, and en suite. whole home is brand new and well designed. A great place to gather for your friends and family. Direct beach access is a hike down to the beach, but really private, and was a nice bonus.

Great Lake Front Family Times

Three generations of our family stayed at Beach Breeze for a week in mid-August and had a fabulous time. The place lived up to the pictures and description in the listing. Spectacular views from the kitchen, living area and primary bedroom made us feel like we were at the lake even when we were inside. Bedrooms were spacious enough and having most of them be en suite was a nice bonus. Jim was a great host. He was very responsive when we had questions and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. We would certainly consider staying again!

Review

The Host was delightful and very accommodating. The house is a first-class, well-decorated, and spacious property. We had our family of young adults whose sleep schedule was much different than that of their elders. The open floor plan made it difficult to contain the terrace level joyful noise from the 3rd floor bedroom level. The close proximity to the public beach in St. Joseph mitigated the 175 steps to the private beach of this house. The kitchen is well-equipped for gourmet chefs. The sunset views were spectacular.. This was a good value for a family reunion. Thank you.

Wow! What an amazing home. We loved the decor, the property, the views, and the beach. Beds were very comfortable. Great play space for the kids in the basement with ping pong and air hockey. Great nearby restaurants in easy driving distance and lovely golf course paths. No decorative detail was unattended to in this lovely beach home. The private beach was lovely and quiet and we spent many pleasant hours there during our stay. This was the nicest VRBO property we've ever stayed at. Lake Michigan in the summer is truly idyllic.

Wonderful Stay

Beautiful home with an amazing private beach. The steps down to the beach are steep, but my 84 year old aunt made it up and down each day without issue. The location feels very private but we were still very close to all the activities we wanted to do. Would highly recommend.

Stunning home

Well built home, thoughtful design and tastefully decorated. We loved our stay. The view was amazing. Be prepared for a workout to get down and back again from the lake. 173 steps down to reach it. It was an adventure every time! We would go again.

Amazing Group Trip with friends!

A group of 14 of us stayed Thursday through Sunday to celebrate upcoming wedding of two of our closest friends. Played camp games on the large back yard and spent the day at the private beach (would not recommend for those who cannot handle many stairs down). Watched the sunset from the balcony - gorgeous each night! Property is stunning, clean and peaceful. Only missing item was the hot tub listed in amenities but we were so sunburnt after day one we weren’t missing it. Jim is extremely responsive and everything you need is provided! Highly recommend, I know we will be back!
