We booked this house last minute and did not have high expectations. It was fine for our family of 4 for 5 nights. It could definitely use a deep cleaning (lots of dust and the wood floors could use a major scrub) but we booked it knowing we’d be outside during the majority of our time in Sunriver and so we just needed a home base. The floors creak majorly all over the house, the train track is located very close to the backyard and we heard a train go past at least once/night waking us. We weren’t really sure what the listing meant by “updated home” as everything appeared dated. The hot tub was clean and worked well! The dishwasher is not secure to the wall and the door falls open, which is a bit of a safety hazard. The ceiling fan in the upstairs bedroom is not secure on the ceiling and so we opted to not use it in fear it would fall on the bed in the middle of the night. No AC and so it was unfortunate we couldn’t use the ceiling fan as it got very hot upstairs. It was nice to have the box fans provided by Vacasa, however it would be great if those could be cleaned as well as they were covered in dust. Overall, I don’t think we’d stay in this particular house again but like I said, for the lower price point and last-minute availability, it met our needs. The location was great, super close to the Village and the SHARC! The SHARC passes were a huge plus!
