We had a wonderful stay at Jaguar Creek Lodge. The staff truly made the experience special – they were incredibly kind, accommodating, friendly, and very hard working. The property itself was beautiful and spotless, and the rooms were comfortable with thoughtful eco‑tourism touches that we really appreciated.
The food was good overall, but the ordering process was a bit confusing. We were initially given one menu to choose from, but later discovered by accident that there was a separate, more local menu that was both tastier and more affordable. Prices for meals were quite high in general, but the local options helped.
One major downside was that we felt a bit trapped on the property. There is a shuttle service to the nearest town, but it costs $50 USD for an eight‑minute drive, which made it unrealistic for us to go out for dinner as planned. Because of this, guests are essentially limited to dining at the lodge, where the prices are on the higher end, especially compared to typical Belize standards. I would recommend considering renting a car if you plan to stay here.
Aside from that, the lodge and staff were wonderful, and we loved being immersed in the jungle. It is a unique and memorable experience in a beautiful setting.
