ABOUT THE SPACE

Northwoods Treehaus is a 1960s ski chalet perched on a wooded hillside at Schuss Mountain Resort. It's not a modern renovation pretending to be a cabin. It's the real thing, with warm wood, tall windows, vintage character, and the kind of lived-in comfort that makes people want to come back. We've added modern essentials (fast WiFi, smart TVs, a solid coffee setup) without stripping what makes this place feel different from everything else in Bellaire.

The hilltop living room has a stone fireplace, big windows with wooded views, and enough seating for the whole group. The kitchen is stocked for real meals. Mornings start with coffee and the view. Evenings end at the fireplace or in the hot tub.

The elevated deck puts you in the treetops. The hot tub sits up here with views through the pines, and it's just as good on a cold January night as it is in July. Below, the firepit area has Adirondack chairs for evening bonfires under the stars.

THE AREA

You're at Schuss Mountain Resort, which means ski lifts in winter and Shanty Creek golf courses in summer, all minutes from your door. Pool access at Shanty Creek is included. Torch Lake and Lake Bellaire beaches are a short drive. Downtown Bellaire has Short's Brewing Company, restaurants, and shops. Grass River Natural Area is nearby with beautiful boardwalk hikes out to the river. Your guests keep discovering it and raving about it.
