We stayed 2 nights. The first night was great. The second night was a bit traumatic. There was a stabbing right down the way from us in another room. 8 police cars swarmed the place. It was very unsettling and not such a good night. We asked for a late check out because we didn’t sleep so well and the clerk was hesitant to do so. She finally agreed to 12:30. This is the o my reason I didn’t rate it excellent.

I loved the remodels they did to the hotel. I felt like I was at a 5 star hotel. Love it. The beds were super comfy too! Love the Kitchenette too :) oh and tv was huge. Def would stay again.

The rooms are very nicely remodeled and well designed, but the AC units need work. We changed rooms when the first AC didn’t stay on, and the second one worked well but was noisy. Stay on the back side to minimize highway noice. Staff is hard working and pleasant.

This is one wherein pictures are not truly honest to the property. Pictures present far more spectacular that property actually is. Primary picture left out or any indicator of how close to IH-35 is to the rooms facing highway. While not as noisy as could be, imagine being awake all night with the thumping of vehicles on the joints in the highway. It is not as loud as it could be, but it is not quiet. They are remodeling front desk area so breakfast, checkin and check out in a space the size of a very small bedroom. Understand as company improving the place. Frustrating with breakfast as it is the weekend and best they can offer for syrup and jelly is it will be there on Monday. Unacceptable in the service industry on a weekend. Gross the bathroom sink would not properly drain. You would think housekeeping could have detected this issue. Finally, the seal on the door not attached approximately half way up the door leaving a gap noticeable upon entry and large enough to allow bugs, hot air, and highway noise into the room. I could not stay here again simply for the Highway noise. After driving many hours on it, the last thing a person wants is to hear it all night while sleeping. The place was very clean and staff very courteous.

Our stay waa okay but I wouldn't stay again. Although It was in the middle of renovations (converting from a Howard Johnson) our room was fine and clean. What I didn't like is that the blinds don't keep out the light so a floodlights shown in our room directly on my bed all night. Needless to say I didn't sleep well.

Rooms were modern, clean and functional and the staff was great. Had a minor issue and the staff helped with resolution. Highway noise is bad so be prepared for that.
