The room was fairly clean. Furnishings were basic. The bed was basic too. The headboard was pretty dusty. The bathroom wall had a dried booger on it. There was a tiny corner shelf next to the sink that barely had room to set a straightening iron, much less two toiletry bags. They definitely need more holding space. I had an ant crawl on me in the living room our first night and then again while in the bathroom the next morning.
The employee serving breakfast was very polite and friendly. Breakfast was good- real eggs were used. One day there was linked sausage and bacon, another morning he served sausage patties and scrambled eggs. There was always waffle batter ready to use for fresh “make your own” waffles. Christmas Day he had picked up a Christmas pastry/dessert from a local bakery in celebration of Christmas.
The parking was a plus as parking in Basalt is limited.
