Nydelig Costa Rican Getaway med Infinity Pool og Swim Up Bar / Covered Rancho

Nydelig splitter nytt hjem med fantastisk utsikt over havet, fjellene og elvedalen på den friske fjellsiden bare 15 minutter fra strendene i Dominical. Ligger i et inngjerdet samfunn i gangavstand til en privat 220 'foss.
Dette imøtekommende hjemmet med 3 soverom / 3 bad soveplass til 8 med 2 soverom med king size-senger og det tredje soverommet med en køyeseng (full på bunnen / tvilling på toppen) og en ekstra enkeltseng. To bad inne med dusjkabinett og badekar ved bassenget.
Den enorme uteplassen tilbyr den utendørs livsopphold som Costa Rica tilbyr. Slapp av i den kjølige fjelluften mens du ser på de mange tropiske fuglene som besøker oss daglig.
Utenfor den overbygde terrassen ligger et vakkert evighetsbasseng med en bar i bassenget som er koblet til et klassisk "rancho" utendørs grillområde.
Vi er utstyrt med WiFi for å streame og holde oss "tilkoblet".
Klimaanlegg er tilgjengelig på hvert rom, selv om hjemmet forblir komfortabelt med vifter og store vinduer.

As Advertised!

This home is exactly as advertised. Beautiful, clean, secure and safe location. The pool is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed using the BBQ, pool, and even doing some yoga in the backyard. The property manager was very easy to contact, and answered our questions promptly. We will definitely be booking again!

Great Stay

The accommodation was wonderful. Super secluded in the jungle. About 20mins into Dominical. If you are looking top be away from crowds of tourists this will be right up your alley. Great views and pretty crazy road in. We had a basic 4x4 and it was enough for the dry season but would want something better for rainy season. A few minor issues with the property but they were quickly rectified by Yony the super once reported. Kids loved the pool and outdoor area. We made use of the BBQ everyday for dinner and sunsets. Overall a great experience.

Amazing place

Magical spot, great for families, very comfortable beds , great showers, lively outdoor space and pool overlooking the natural jungle, you definitely need a 4by4 vehicle to get in an out of the complex, highly recommended

Most enjoyable stay

Although you need a 4X4 for the last kilometer, access to the house was easy. Domiical was only 10 minues away. The house was very comfortable. The setting outside with the infinity pool was perfect. Our excellent experience makes us want to come back here next year.

Amazing!!

You will not be disappointed! The pictures do not do this place justice. We will definitely be coming back and recommend this place to everyone. The pool is a lot bigger than what the picture makes it look and it is surrounded by beautiful plants

Amazing property and view

We really loved our stay here. We’ve stayed at dozens of properties in Costa Rica and this was one of my favorite. The beds were comfortable. The wifi always worked (except a power outage from a storm, which was actually awesome to hang out by candlelight). The big family table was such a great hangout spot overlooking the valley with a small distant ocean view. The sunsets are probably epic but it was mostly rainy the nights we stayed, still very beautiful. The view of the lightning storms was amazing. The home is built with beautiful stained wood, and felt very cozy. Everything was high quality. We were very impressed. It can fit a lot of people if you have a large family. The showers were nice and hot, the a/c works great though we mostly didn’t need it. The frogs/roads were super loud at night and a few would always come hang out on the patio in the evenings. The pool is awesome with the lights. This would be super fun to bring a larger group. The patio is also great for yoga with such an epic back drop. We loved using the outdoor grill and making food in the kitchen. The lights make a great vibe. You definitely need 4wd. The location is prime, with such a great mountain/valley/ocean view but also only about 10 minute drive into Dominical! Check out the tinamaste farmers market on tuesdays. It’s only about 10 minutes drive there. 5 stars all around. I would 100% book this property again and again! It’s a great value for such a beautiful home.

Good, convenient, well maintained

The road up is best traveled by 4x4, though we got by with a 2x4. 20 mins to dominical from house. House is quiet, excellent condition, very nice mountain view. DeeDee was v friendly, responsive, the tico neighbor is the property caregiver. We enjoyed our stay.

The Best!

Just wow! We could stop there, but it wouldn’t do this place justice. My wife and I just spent nearly three weeks at Casa Kendall Baru. As they say…Location-Location-Location…and this place has it. It overlooks the jungle valley and even the ocean in the distance. There is plenty of privacy, but only a 15-minute drive from the beautiful and quiet beaches of Dominical. The road up the mountain is fun (at least I think so), but you do need a 4x4 to easily make the drive. The house itself is very comfortable, very well appointed and all the furniture is in perfect shape and lends itself to the overall functionality and atmosphere. There is plenty of room for a large group of eight to spread out, and lots of outdoor furniture to enjoy the sunrises and beautiful sunsets every day. As a relative early riser, I enjoyed my cups of tea on the patio listening to the jungle wake up and watching all the birds come by…several different species of hummingbirds who were enjoying the many flowers growing next to the patio, toucans, swallow-tailed kites, buzzards, and many many others that wandered by the property. Then there is the infinity pool, which we were in and out of all day, that overlooks that same jungle valley. Let’s not forget the new gas BBQ grill in the sunken bar area. We made use of the grill on a regular basis for fresh fish, burgers and pork chops. All the meals were very easily prepared in the fully stocked kitchen…plenty of pots, pans, flatware, dinnerware, plastic storage containers, mixing bowls and all types of utensils. The air conditioners came in handy during the hottest part of the day and worked great. In the evenings the patio was the place to be for Sundowners as we watched the sun slip behind the hills. Then as the sun dropped and it got darker the jungle once again came alive with the many insect and animals sounds near and far. Of course, an evening swim with the pool lights on made for a great end to the day and the sky was literally crowded with stars! The owner was exceptionally responsive and offered helpful suggestions on sights, restaurants, farmers markets and things to do in the local area. Also, the outstanding groundskeeper and pool man, Yony, kept the numerous flowers, shrubs and plants of all kinds growing and sorted out and the pool was always in perfect swimming shape. We will most definitely be visiting Costa Rica again and staying right here at Casa Kendall Baru.

Rainy Season in Paradise

My wife and two teenage sons stayed here for five nights in May/June 2019 and we loved it! If you want a beautiful view, this is the place! I loved being surrounded by the rainforest with all its comforting sounds. The pool and patio is so very relaxing. The A/C units work very well. Even though the drive up to the house was scary on the first night in the dark and pouring rain, it became a fun journey each time out because of the views. As the owners say, 4x4 REQUIRED! We spent time in Dominical, but enjoyed Quepos and Manuel Antonio beach more. Thanks to DeeDee for the excursion recommendations.

Paradise Found

This is the place. The house is beautiful,everything is perfect. love the master bath shower.and the beds are so comfortable. The large patio is fantastic. Pool is the perfect temperature, and to beable to be in the pool and overlook the valleys amazing veiws and just listen to all the birds and animals.We had 2 toucans that came to visit morning and evening. Alex and Deedee are great. gave us all kinds of recommendations on where to go to eat and things to do. My favorite resturant for breakfast was porque no?. And favorite dinner was at the very top of the hill Rancho Los Compaires.Went snorkeling with Bahia adventuras great company. But my favorite was the Mangrove Monkey Tour. You will not be disappointed if you book this house. Cant wait to go back.

Paradise!!

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The home itself had plenty of space and was clean and very comfortable. The outdoor patio and pool with the magnificent view couldn’t have offered more. We loved getting up early and watching the wildlife then grilling and swimming in the evenings as the sun went down. It was the perfect place to stay and the perfect vacation. We can’t wait to come back!

Mid to late March vacation

Even though everyone in Costa Rica says it is the driest it’s ever been here in the last ten years, it is still greener and warmer than the snow and cold we left behind in Colorado. Casa Kendall Baru, in the Cascada Azul gated community, is a beautiful place to stay. It is a recent construction and only a few people have stayed here before us. The Kendall family did an exceptional job with the layout of the three bedroom two bathrooms home. There is a free standing enclosed bathroom as well (outside) along with an outdoor shower. The pool is situated in a way to get full sun to heat it from mid morning to mid afternoon (this time of year) and the water stays warm all day; so, a person can take a refreshing plunge at any time. A person does need four wheel drive to get to the property. We found out we needed four wheel drive to get around a lot of roads in the Costa Rica Dominical region because a lot of the roads are unpaved and at steep inclines. There are trees, hibiscus, jasmine and butterfly plants on the property. We have seen toucans, vultures, red-winged black bird, several smaller birds, as well as a jagaurundi, armadillo, pesotes, and a sloth. Other people living in the area have seen monkeys as well. We look forward to returning during the rainy season to see the differences in the terrain and foliage.

Breathtaking

This tranquil hideaway has spectacular views and extremely comfortable beds.

We were very impressed that the property is close enough to main roads to feel very connected to the surrounding communities of Dominical, Platanillo, and Uvita, yet far enough away to provide us tranquil repose from the crowded and more touristy accomodations. The pool and rancho-style kitchen are situated atop a picturesque landscape which never failed to provide us with the perfect sunset. The home is spacious enough for two families to have plenty of privacy, yet also share communal meals and conversations. All the modern aminities are provided and we especially appreciated the spacious beds, hot water, washer/dryer, pool, and the beautiful kitchens (both indoors and out). Alex and Deedee are superb hosts giving us all the inside tips on where to go and what to do. We will definitely be returning!
