«This is my second time in Tortuguero but my first at Mawamba. I’d seen the beautiful grounds before and wanted to experience it in person, This is a nature lovers paradise! The grounds are beautifully maintained with native plants, lots of walking trails which are inviting to so much wildlife including toucans, orenpendula, parrots, macaws, red eyed tree frogs and so much more. «Thw terrasse with river side view was very nice and big so you always could sit there. The hotel was central with just a few walking minutes to restaurants and national park 👍 The tours that the hotel provided was very good, we saw turtles and went on a morning boat trip, both I will recommend 😀 Stay away from the street view rooms if you are a light sleeper, the beds were hard and well worn... due to the locations, you should expect insects and bugs in the room over night.»
