This place was very good for our 1 night stop. The highlights were the owners, their dog, the AC and the delicious dinner. Room was basic. Mattress basic. Shower adequate. Road noise was loud. Just bring earplugs. Little pool looked good although we did not use it. Monkeys in the trees.

Wonderful hotel on a beautiful property
A wonderful hotel located on a beautiful property right along the main highway. My wife and I only stayed the night as a stop over along our trip to the Osa, but we will definitely be back. This property is well worth a few days stay if you enjoy comfort surrounded by nature. We will most definitely be back!

Lovely experience at a hotel that ought to receive more well-deserved attention to it. It's cosy, very clean, in overall good shape despite COVID-19 and very well managed by its staff and owners, who proved most kind at going off their comfort zone - - got us a much needed 4x4 taxi to help us arrive on time to a film shoot of ours. Thank you for everything really!

Desafortunadamente, eso sucede en hoteles pequeños cuando se congrega un número grande de personas pertenecientes al mismo grupo. Ocurre muy raramente porque la gran mayoría de nuestros huéspedes son muy respetuosos de los horarios nocturnos del resto.

This hotel is in a quiet area. There really aren't many amenities besides the pool, wifi, and the breakfast. Of course, Max the dog is super friendly and made a great guide to walk though the jungle to the beach. The owner Raul really made us feel welcomed and made breakfast for us personally. The walls are really thin here that we can hear the guy on the phone in the next room. Just a basic lock on the door, but we didn't feel unsafe at any moment.

Lovely stay here
Wonderful hosts, lovely breakfast and good location. (Uvita is pretty remote) The room was really nice and I had a great sleep, bathroom curtain was a bit dodgy/needed to be replaced. Over all a good value and reccomended place to stay.

Great place. Raul and Sabilia were great host. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Un hotel de bord de route qui n'a rien a voir avec les photos. Tres sale que ce soit la chambre ou bien la piscine. Une odeur terrible dans la chambre.

The many trees and privacy. There is an excellent Cuban restaurant on the property, and a good chef and cook. No pressures , either use Pool or make a short walk to the beach, with senderos. Good bird watching. It was a pleasant stay.

We enjoyed our stay here. The owner, Raul, was amazing. The restaurant on site was closed but he offered to make us food anyway. All the staff were nice and accommodating. He’s upgrading the rooms. Max the puppy was the sweetest thing. It’s anout a 10-15 walk through the jungle to an incredible beach. Great stay!

we happened upon the Hotel Samsara when we were in the Uvita area- it was spacious, comfortable and the owner/staff were very quick to respond and help out with questions.

Great family (couple) operated hotel, with direct access to the beach located within a beautiful national park. It was one of the best experiences of our journey throughout Costa Rica, especially because the property owners made us feel so much like family instead of guests that we did not want to leave and are missing them so very much! Great Cuban Restuarant and cuisine, wonderfully styled rooms within jungle canopy that was amazing! Very clean, neat, comfortable, spacious rooms and an awesome feeling of Pura VIDA! We’ll be back soon & thank you for making our short stay so wonderfully pleasurable and relaxing!

Good Choice
Incredible grounds with a jungle trail leading to the beach. Spacious, clean, rustic rooms with good air conditioning and hot water in the shower. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff.

Una brutta esperienza
Bagno senza acqua calda. Scarafaggi e altri animali non identificati sul soffitto che facevano cadere materiale strano sul letto. La cassetta del water non si riempiva e scorreva sempre acqua se non si interveniva manualmente, in questo caso a fine riempimento della cassetta si sentiva un forte rumore di sirena. Il ventilatore collegato alla luce al centro camera si poteva azionare solo salendo sopra al tavolo. Colazione il primo giorno con discreta quantità di formaggio per una persona ma il secondo è terzo giorno la stessa quantità è stata divisa per quattro persone. Completava la colazione 2 fette di pane tostato con un cucchiaino di marmellata, oltre a caffè e succo di frutta. Il povero inserviente è stato costretto a dire cose palesemente non vere che ti fa sentire essere preso in giro. Non sembra Costa Rica. Il tutto documentabile con foto.

Great place, excellent staff, questionable WiFi
The hotel is a really quaint place, the rooms are big enough and feel comfortable; the pool is really quiet and the beach is at walking distance. The breakfast included with the stay is really good, bigger than most places and great flavour! The whole staff are reallu friendly and will help you with a big smile! The only thing that could be severely improved is the WiFi, there weren’t many guests at the hotel and yet the wifi couldn’t even send or receive WhatsApp messages promptly.

Thank you very much for staying with us. We did really enjoy having you as our guest in our Samsara. The Internet issue is due to the service provider here in the area. We have WiFi coverage all over the place but the connection is only 2MBs shared. We have been in conversation with the provider and they promised to run the fiber optic connection soon which would improve the connectivity. I totally agree with you and we are suffering from that specially lately since our reservation system depends on the Internet for functioning correctly. Again sorry for this inconvenient and I hope this can be fixed sooner than later. Best regards and wishes for the New Year.

Muy ruidoso e inseguro
Las habitaciones son oscuras, con muy escasa luz natural. A pesar de encontrarse en un entorno precioso, es imposible apreciarlo. Las paredes son tan finas que escuchas CONSTANTEMENTE todo lo que ocurre en las habitaciones contiguas o debajo de la tuya. El último día, dejamos las maletas en consigna en el hotel y a la vuelta, un empleado del hotel nos había rajado una completamente. Afortunadamente, al empleado que lo había hecho (sabían quién había sido porque le sorprendieron en la habitación y salió huyendo) no le dio tiempo a coger nada al verse sorprendido. Desagradable sorpresa a horas de coger el avión de vuelta.

Nice little hotel
Simple, tidy and nice hotel. Staff was great ! Helped me with my hike, obtain travel information and went above and beyond the basic service. Breakfast was wonderful, room was clean and the pool very nice. Well worth the modest price.

clean and easy access...
conveniently located along the main road in Uvita, this is a rustic stay including breakfast. good for a one night stay if location close to Domenical. the office closes at 8 pm so it was a little disconcerting on arrival at 11pm. fortunately, the on-site attendant was helpful once he woke up to provide the room location and key! a message board located near the office with a note would have spared the uncertainty of knowing what to do after a long day of driving.

A week in uvita
We stayed in two rooms at the Coope Agri for 7 nights. The rooms had TV's, AC, a shower and two queen beds. This is exactly what we needed for this trip. The pool was clean and refreshing! The best part of the hotel is the staff. They are warm and friendly. Omar in the restaurant and Sonya in the reception area went above and beyond to help us gringos enjoy our stay!

la perla de bahia disaster
Disappointed at the outcome, spent hours on sat trying to find out what was going on. Spent hours at the new hotel trying to tell the 2 youngsters that I had paid already. They couldn't speak English, I could speak Spanish and my husband too. We had to get a hold of an interpreter at hotels.com to explain everything. This hotel La perla was not very professional. The rooms were awful, no tables, chairs, dresser. The price for this place should've been for a good hotel. I feel robbed of my stay at this place.
