We loved the Excelsior. The front desk people Khayala and Ervin were just amazing. The hotel is wonderful. Shuttle buss takes you downtown in just five minutes. The amazing history museum is across the street. They have a huge indoor swimming pool and fitness center that we used every day. Rooms are very clean and luxurious. Very nice bathroom. I truly recommend stying at the Excelsior and I think it is the best value for money you get.

The hotel in itself is fine. I booked a junior suite which was good value. However, if you consult a map it does not appear far to the city centre. In fact the hotel is "trapped" behind 3 enormous roads un-crossable for pedestrians and with only one underpass in the least convenient direction. There are no other commercial buildings close to the hotel. This means every day starts with a taxi (good value actually) or a walk up the same long hill alongside three lanes of thundering traffic. The metro (Nariman Narimanov) is 25 minutes away. The trick is to get bus No 1 outside the Haider Aliyev centre to May 28th square and change to route 5 to go to the old city. Public transport dirt cheap but inconvenient. There are some restaurants on Haider Aliyev square. The Georgian one is particularly recommended. The hotel restaurant is dead. Never saw more than 4 people in a dining room for 100 at dinner time

Property is abit outdated unfortunately but rooms are clean and service is good. It is very difficult to exit property if you are going opposite direction of entry. This might add extra 10 minutes to the drive

This is a very European-style hotel. The hotel staff are warm, thoughtful and polite. The disadvantage is that it is not pedestrian-friendly, perhaps because of the characteristics of Baku's transportation plan. There are supermarkets nearby, and there are several restaurants within a short walk. Everything else is very good

Everything was perfect, the only problem is, hotel is not on a walking distance to anywhere. The hotel is next to a highway and it is almost impossible to walk anywhere. The first motivation for the hotel was, its very close location to the Hayder Aliyav center, but it is almost impossible to pass the highway to there. Thanks Bolt for transportation. Other than walking the hotel has a fancy design, room decoration was better than our expectations. Swimming pool is an extra building next to the hotel. Somehow my girlfriend didnt enjoy the society in the sports center and we didn't visit again. House keeping was not good in timing and they didn't replace the towels during 6 days stay.

Five star hotel for 3 star price! One of the best values ever. The hotel i wonderful. The room was excellent. The staff was so kind, helpful, amazing. Breakfast each morning was wonderful. One of the nicest hotels ever. 10 out of 10 for everything. Highly recommend.

La posizione è decentrata ed è necessario, chiamare quasi sempre il taxi. Alla reception sono molto cortesi e ci pensano loro, su richiesta a chiamare Uber. Con pochi Manat ti portano ovunque. Quindi evitate i taxi e usate Uber. La colazione dell’hotel, andrebbe rivista, non l’ho apprezzata molto. Le stanze sono belle. Early check in (check in in anticipo) troppo caro ed eviterei di farlo pagare se c’è stato un problema di scarico nel bagno della stanza e si è dovuti spostarsi in un’altra.

The rooms are very large and spacious. Spa and gym was fantastic. Service in the bar outstanding. Shuttle bus into the town was a great help!! Would stay here again, just a shame its so far out of the city

The hotel is located near the center of this city. The waiters here are very nice. However ,Wifi sometimes will have some problems.

Il personale molto gentile,bella colazione molto varia e buona, stanza e bagno molto ampi con ampissimo è comodo letto , comodissimo servizio navetta per il centro - l’hotel è vicino al l’imperdibile modernissimo Centro museo Heudar haliev , l’hotel ha inoltre un bel centro benessere con piscina al chiuso e all’aperto. Baku è una bellissima città sicura, anche moderna, pulita e ben tenuta: una metà che ci ha sorpresi.al momento della prenotazione il rapporto qualità prezzo è stato veramente vantaggioso.
