Supert hotell med vennlig personale.
God standard for et trestjerners hotell. Burde hatt en stjerne til. Vi hadde rom mot vannet og opplevde endel støy fra trafikk og ikke minst måker. Nydelig frokostbuffet og alt annet var helt topp for oss, to voksne på tur.

We travelled from Fife by bus and the hotel is 5 mins from the bus station. It is also close to the town centre and all its amenities. The hotel may be tired in places but is good value and is run by professional staff

Been to mercure a couple times now, room is clean and staff are friendly enough , only thing let down was information on arrival , didnt know pool was closed and after been out at night came back wasnt told had enter through door at side rang door bell 3 times and gentleman on reception didnt budge,

great hotel
had a great night sleep, heating was on a god amount so was nice and warm without being too hot. good food services & tasty food! fantastic location as it’s in the centre of town and 2 seconds from the gaiety theatre that we were attending! looks a little lacklustre from the outside but looks much better inside! nice views shame about the weather too!

Well located hotel
Well located hotel and as we were on the 5th floor looking onto the sea the view was amazing. The welcome from the staff was excellent and the checking in was quick and efficient. The room was very spacious and clean but overall the furniture does need an update. The bed was very comfortable however. No plug or usb sockets by the bed which was strange. A good standard hotel for the price paid, the staff makes the difference.

Everyone at the Mercure are great from the manager to the cleaner can't do enough for you very helpful all the time. The room was good but cold not enough heat for a large room the pillows were not great the ones that were ment to be soft were quite hard time to renew the pillows, also for a premium room a king size bed would have been better. Had dinner in the hotel one night which was good but a bit expensive. Also really dissapointing the the leisure area is still not available one of the main reasons that we go to the mercure.

Found the hotel average and expected more to reflect on the price. Walking to the room the corridors smelt damp and musty, thankfully the room didnt which was a releif. The room was clean however the bathroom could do with an update and attention to detail was needed outside the bedroom window as clothing and cigarette ends were a bit of an eyesore. The staff were friendly, helpful and well presented. We chose to eat dinner in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed that and the breakfast the next morning. We were subjected to loud dance music in the afternoon coming from the surrounging area of the hotel and i undersatnd this was something outwith the hotels control but later in the evening the music from the event in the hotel was pretty loud in the room. We did eventually fall asleep and found the beds extremely comforable.

Disappointing Room
My wife and I were in separate rooms, both meant to be doubles. There was not really enough space for the double bed hence not much room for anything else and it was right against the wall on one side. No bedside table, not much of a dressing table just a rectangular slab. Not enough storage space. No grab rail in the bathroom and not very good lighting in the bathroom. Certainly not an ideal room for two!

Visit to Ayr
Although we were disappointed that the pool was closed this didn’t effect our stay at Mercure Ayr Hotel. We were impressed with the size of the room with a great sea view. Beds were very comfy. Tea and Coffee were available in the room. The staff were welcoming and friendly especially Gordon at the front desk. Breakfast was good lots to choose from. Hotel is within walking distance from shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend

The room didn't have air con as advertised. White curtains, so was wide awake at 4am. Zero sleep, would not return.

I have stayed at the mercure many times but found that it was not as good as before. The bed was very hard and the pillows were of inferior quality 2 of the lights in the room did not work but my bad I did not report it. The location is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool and health suite still closed after more than a year this is not good enough this was one of the main reasons that we have stayed here in the past, also no air con in the rooms. This hotel is far too expensive for what you get.
