Welcome to Riverbank Refuge - your base camp for a delightful winter or summer holiday. This is a light-filled, stylish and secluded riverside home in an exclusive enclave in Avon - featuring a short drive to Vail (12 minutes) and Beaver Creek (6 minutes). With its large stone fireplace, modern kitchen, 2 master suites, and a sleeping loft - this pristine home works as as well for a romantic escape as it does for a group ski vacation. The secluded patio with its huge new 7-seat sparkling hot tub is perfect for a relaxing soak.

Parking for ONLY 2 cars: the garage fits a SMALL car and there is also a single dedicated outdoor spot reserved for your use.

My 2010 square foot home is furnished in a Scandinavian, alpine modern style (cozy, simple, light, and bright!) designed to evoke the best of the mountain lifestyle: curled up under a soft throw, fire flickering in the background, sipping a beverage and reminiscing with family and friends while the snow falls on the mountains around you. Throw the windows open in the summer and delight in the ever-changing song of the river.

You'll find the main floor of this 3-story home to be a comfortable open-concept kitchen/living/dining area - ideally designed for gathering friends and family. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook for the whole crew. Outside on your private patio, you'll find the new hot tub fits 7 people comfortably, and there is a grill and lovely teak furniture set up for summer outdoor dining.

Go up one level to find two bedrooms, each with new beds, luxury linens and big fluffy comforters. The "SunRise" family bedroom has a King bed and a pull-out twin bed (perfect for co-sleeping children) and an en-suite bathroom with a travertine shower over tub and two-sink vanity. In the "RiverSong" bedroom, you'll find another new King bed and a spacious full bathroom with a luxurious soaking tub and spacious steam shower.

The 3rd-floor loft (with 9 foot ceilings) has a Queen bed and a twin. The loft has its own bath with walk-in shower.

There are smart TVs in every bedroom and one on the main level for group movie nights. Both bedrooms have desks and there is mesh high-speed wifi throughout, so you can stay online or if you wish to work remotely.

Due to severe allergies and in compliance with rules in this enclave, we are a no Smoking & NO ANIMALS property. If you must travel with a pet or a service animal, please stay in one of the many other pet-friendly vacation rentals in this area. Thank you.

We can accommodate a maximum of ONLY 2 vehicles. The garage is quite narrow and is suitable only for a small car/SUV. There is a designated outdoor spot for one other vehicle.

We enjoyed our stay and the proximity between Vail and Glenwood Springs was perfect for us. Also, Drew was amazing with questions and even allowed for an early arrival time. The aspen trees were beautiful while we were there!

Creek Beauty

Wow! It was everything we needed and more! Spectacular place and location. It was serene having the windows open listening to the creek while relaxing in the living room. We were 2 families with a total of 3 teens. The third room was perfect. Masters were equally great. We loved the jacuzzi after skiing. Everything was spotless. Will love to come back next year! Beautiful Home

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. The view of the river is amazing. The location of the house is perfect for us, as the little ones had ski school at the Beaver Creek Resort. Overall, the home is clean and very comfortable. Katherine was in contact with us to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The added bonus which was amazing is the sauna in the bathroom shower! Thank you Katherine! We had a wonderful stay.

A very nice house in a beautiful setting!

Our annual family ski vacation to Vail/Beaver Creek area. You feel you are in a secluded, scenic area but you are so close to slopes, dinning and shopping. The owner was very easy to communicate with and prompt in answering some questions. Book and enjoy!

Great Family Ski Accommodations

Beautiful property along the river. Convenient to Avon and Beaver Creek Elk lot for mountain access. When we weren't skiing the kids were building snowmen in the yard.

Home is Misrepresented and poorly maintained

From the day we arrived at this property it was an all out family effort to clean this home, the entry weeds overtaking the front door and patio as well as the window that you could barely see out of through cob webs, dirt and water stains. The furniture was hard Ikea plastic with pieces of foam squares added as a cushion. There was a sofa bed as a couch and a college dorm room chair for additional seating. The washer dryer was behind a tiny piece of fabric on a dowel rod that fell overtime you touched it, and didn't even cover half of it. The fireplace screeched with an obviously broken fan motor that was promised to be replaced for the three months we managed to stay there. The home is infested with Spiders and other bugs. There were snakes on the patio and hiding under the door stoop that caused a real scare, we were told that they were native to the area and couldn't be removed. If it wasn't for our wedding and family being in to attend we would have moved out sooner than the month early that we left the property due to one too many spider bites. We reached out to VRBO Corporate submitted pictures and an account of the condition of this rental asking for a full refund and to have the home taken off their site until it's deemed fit to rent. It's been weeks with no reply from the owner.

Absolute Mountain Paradise!

We loved our stay in the beautiful home in Avon! Quick trip to Vail and Beaver Creek area where we were skiing during our trip! Excellent communication between us and the host of the home. Really wonderful vacation!

This is such a super cute house. We thoroughly enjoyed the river views out the front window. Really well stocked kitchen, great bathrooms, comfy beds. The massive snow dump while were there gave these people from Atlanta a beautiful white Christmas!

For the price…

The location was convenient and the view was gorgeous. We wished we were there in the warm months so we could keep the windows open and hear the river! It’s nicely fitted out with everything we needed for the active home cooking family we are. We struggled to keep comfortable though. The bedding was great, but for the top tier price we expected more comfortable sitting furniture, and it was a challenge to keep the right temperature.

Best river view - ever!

If you want huge windows with a view of the Eagle river this is it. We have sought a view like this and finally found it. You are on the river bank and it’s an easy walk 50 yards to river. Fly fish right from the house. High designed home with comfort to boot. Great kitchen. Easy parking and access. Master bath has a steam shower too. This is one of the best VRBO rentals ever.

Excellent location

We had a last minute trip and found this gem that was still available. It was a perfect setup with 3 private bedrooms and baths, large living and dining area and most beautiful location on a rushing stream. Well appointed and clean. Simply Fabulous

My family just spent a little over two weeks at this awesome home. And "home" is the right word here as the owner has truly made this place special for your guests. There are a few highlights I would like to point out. First, the pictures do not do justice to how awesome the views and experience are from behind the property. It is absolutely beautiful with the constant sound of moving water that you can enjoy inside or outside the home. Second, the photos fairly reflect that this is a spacious home. We genuinely enjoyed the kitchen, dining area, and bedrooms with plenty of space for our family. And unlike some of my other encounters with VRBO, the hot but was actually here, clean, hot, and had a very nice view. And don't miss out on the fire pit down the river a bit as it offers a different perspective that is totally shady. It was simply a fabulous experience staying here.

Wonderful stay

This property was everything it was advertised to be. The setting on the river was amazing and kept my teenagers busy fishing. I would definitely stay here again. It was 2-4 minutes away from shops, restaurants, Nottingham lake etc. and within a 10 min drive to Vail and easy day trips to Frisco or Leadville.

Fabulous house in Avon!

This house is perfect for two families! It was wonderful to sit in or outside and listen to the river! Some of us caught fish on site! The house is well appointed, clean and comfortable. It was so nice to be so close to the walking path along the river and to restaurants. We would love to stay here again!

Absolutely GORGEOUS Property!!

This has been one of the best VRBO’s we’ve stayed in! The hosts are VERY easy to be in contact with, as well as incredibly welcoming and informative! The property was very clean and easy to locate. Not to mention HOW CLOSE to the river this place is! Overall, this was a phenomenal place to stay and we hope to come back again!
