Perfekt hvis du vil ha et sentralt hotell
Veldig hjelpsom service. Store rom i en ombygd kirke, Koselig hage i bakgården hvor frokosten kunne nytes. Supermarked rett nede i gata. Parkering ble ordnet 2 minutters gange for 15 euro pr natt. Kort veg til restauranter og gågatene,

Stille og veldig hyggelig oase midt i sentrum.
Kjempekoselige og imøtekommende drivere, som var behjelpelige med alt det måtte være. En stille oase midt i byen med kort gåavstand til det meste i byen. Avignon er perfekt som base for å kunne utforske den vestlige delen av Provence (som er den fineste etter vår mening..). Med leiebil er parkeringsforholdene litt krevende, gratis parkering på utsiden av bymuren, litt dyrt og få plasser inne i bykjernen.

We had an elegant room on a beautifully designed inner courtyard. It was quiet and extremely comfortable. The hosts Patrick and Sabine are friendly, helpful and welcoming. In short, this is a wonderful place to stay!

It was difficult to have to park our car in a garage so far from the hotel. Also, climbing three flights of stairs! The hotel was charming, never the less.

Beautiful courtyard garden in the heart of the walled area in Avignon. All the key attractions are walking distance from Aux Augustine. The staff, Sabine, was very welcoming and helpful. There is free parking outside of the walls, be sure to ask the staff about it. We loved our stay and the room was wonderful.

Amazing rooms in a redeveloped Augustinian monastery - remains of the original building are features of many parts of the property. Hosts, Patrick and Sabine couldn’t be more helpful and there are some excellent bars and restaurants nearby. Only a short walk to all the architectural and cultural highlights of old Avignon.

The ambience of the hotel and serene patio are truly unique. The location and proximity to the town’s sightseeings, places to eat and see theatrical performances are a plus for visitors. Hosts are accommodating and friendly.

Perfect spot in Avignon
Patrick was more than gracious and extremely helpful. The hotel is gorgeous and very cool. Location was terrific, down the street from a grocery and close to tourism spots. Highly recommended!

We had space to spread out, and a good kitchen to be able to enjoy some light meals in the space, as well as a private table just outside our room. It was a perfect setup and one we'd consider again if planning a longer stay in the area. We loved it.

The property manager is rude. The check-in process was very inconvenient, floor squeaks and upstairs floor squeaks, and you can hear every time upstairs uses water, too. Lots of mosquitoes.

check in on sunday afternoon is on apointment and you refused to give an apointment. You did not respect the rules that you can read on your reservation and fortunaly for me, you are the only guest since nine years who did it. Concerning mosquitoes that you find all the world including china and USA, close the windows in the evening and everything will be fine. About the check out, you left the lights on in all the rooms when it was 10:30 in the morning. this is not ecological and it shows the little respect that you had towards us

We had a wonderful time at Aux Augustins. The room was clean and very spacious (especially for France) and the terrace/balcony was incredibly beautiful. Patrice was an excellent and friendly host. It was very convenient to be picked up/dropped off at the train station upon our arrival/departure! The location is also superb; there are many bars/restaurants/cafes nearby, and it was not far to walk to the main sights (palace, bridge, gardens, etc.). We would recommend to book directly with the host as it can be cheaper. We would absolutely stay here again — we even wish we had extended our time in Avignon given how comfortable our stay was!

Great location
Aux Augustins is an extraordinary property in a delightful neighborhood of Avignon. The restaurants and cafes are mere steps away and yet the rooms are very quiet as they are on a courtyard. The apartment on top floor was generous size, but we missed the usual fluffy duvet as there was only blankets in the closet to use. A coffee pot was provided, but no coffee. It would have been easier if it were a nespresso machine to simply purchase the pods. Otherwise, we truly enjoyed the experience and felt quite lucky to be able to use the private (paid) parking space.

Patrick was a perfect host! He was so accommodating and helpful. I arrived early, by several hours, and he was so pleasant about it. The apartment itself was gorgeous and looked out on the well appointed patio area. The bedroom in which I stayed had actually been part of the church originally and still had part of the arches. The kitchen area had everything I could have needed. The bathroom was very nice and had a towel warmer! The day I checked out Patrick was kind enough to call me a taxi and walk me out to wait for the driver. I just can’t say enough about his hospitality.

You may want to think twice before booking this hotel. The owner, Patrick, can be a most unpleasant man, as you will see if you read some of his responses to prior reviews. We were supposed to stay there in late December, but because of the rail strike in France we could not get there from Barcelona. When Hotels.com called the hotel and talked to Patrick to explain the situation, she told me he started screaming at her and hung up. She told me she called again, and he told her to make a request for a refund in writing. She could not have been kinder and more gentle, and was truly rattled by the call. She certainly did not deserve to be treated like that. Turns out, the "request in writing" was just an exercise in futility, because when Hotels.com submitted the request, and followed up a week later with a phone call, he told them we would not be getting any refund because of their policy. I understand the strike was not their fault, and we would have been satisfied with a compromise, perhaps a 50% refund. Which would have been smart of them to do, because we will make it to Avignon some day soon-- but I promise you we won't be staying there.

Belle terrasse mais globalement décevant
Très bel emplacement dans la ville d'Avignon. La terrasse de la chambre est superbe. Le patio très mignon. Les photos sur l'application booking.com utilisée pour la réservation donnent un bon aperçu de la chambre. Par contre, accueil décevant. Il y avait une fuite dans la salle de bain. La personne de la réception était au courant de la situation et ne nous a pas prévenu. Ni lors de notre appel, ni lors de notre arrivée. Lorsque nous sommes venus le prévenir, il nous a indiqué que c'était la faute des clients précédents et que cela ne servait à rien d'appeler le plombier (qui ne pourrait de toute façon pas intervenir avant plusieurs jours). Aucune solution proposée mise à part celle de faire nos bagages et de trouver un autre endroit pour dormir "si nous n'étions pas contents". Le ton était agressif. Il était tard, nous sommes donc restés. La chambre est mansardée tel qu'indiqué dans l'annonce. Il y a peu d'espace non mansardé et plusieurs grosses poutres apparentes dont une en acier. Difficile de ne pas se cogner plusieurs fois la tête dans la journée. Nous ne sommes pourtant pas grands. Relativement dangereux donc. Je ne conseillerais pas cet endroit.

soyons factuels : 1/ il n'y a jamais eu de fuite dans la Sdb mais le trop plein des wc qui coulait encore deux minutes après le remplissage. Vous souhaitiez absolument le passage du plombier ou un changement de logement .Je vous ai rétorqué que nul besoin de plombier qui par ailleurs sont difficilement joignables comme chacun sait. Je suis intervenu aussitôt et votre mari est passé me voir le lendemain pour confirmer que tout était bien réglé. 2/ comme mentionné dans le début de votre commentaire, vous avez insisté à plusieurs reprises en disant que vous aviez réservé via l'autre concurrent alors que votre commentaire sur ce site prouve le contraire. Vous en avez fait une affaire personnelle en me traitant d'affabulateur alors que j'avais votre résa en main avec le nom de la plateforme en ligne. Au vu de votre ton doublé d'une mauvaise foi, je vous ai effectivement dit que je ne vous retenais pas. Vous auriez pu aussi ajouter que vous avez dépassé d'une heure l'heure de check out en désorganisant l'emploi du temps de la femme de chambre et j'ai du descendre la quasi totalité de vos nombreuses affaires puisque votre mari s'était absenté. Le tout sans aucun merci. L'ensemble des témoignages témoignent d'un accueil courtois et d'un service +++ mais il y a des limites à l'irrespect à l'encontre du personnel ou de son propriétaire. Le client est roi mais n'a pas à être un tyran. Laisser vos problèmes à la maison ou alors réservez ailleurs

Cute little studio apartment
We loved the property itself all except for the too firm bed and air filled pillows which were not comfortable. We didn’t love the area that the hotel is in. Lots of homeless people and garbage on the street. However, this was true of Avignon except in the very center of the city.

Dear customer, homeless people exist all over the world including in Avignon and especially in the hotel area where they have more hope of getting money from tourists. Better we are not in the hotel area but located in a lively neighbourhood with many shops and crafts where the locals live. Facing to us, Carmes square is one of the most beautiful squares in Avignon with many good restaurants and bars. This is an opportunity for your clients to reside in a lively place and live like the locals. Our mutual philosophy : slow travel - live like a local

It was excellent. PATRICK the owner super helpful and happy to give us directions. In two blocks there are: restaurant, bakery, market, a place u can buy fruits, vegetarian restaurant, falafels, crapes, awesome place, bike rental, buss, etc
