Just a 35 minute ferry ride from Auckland City, New Zealand's Waiheke Island is a magical place. The ferry-ride alone is a scenic delight, passing some of the Hauraki Gulf's most beautiful islands, Rangitoto (259mtr high inactive volcano), Motutapu, Great Barrier and Motuihe and dolphins and whales frequently visit the Hauraki Gulf.

Waiheke Island is one of worlds most beautiful small islands, voted 4th best Island in the world and 5th in the world's top 10 regions for 2016.

Breath-taking scenery, beautiful beaches, vineyards, olive groves, local boutique shops, arts and crafts, exhibitions, gallery's, restaurants and café's, coastal and bush walks and bird life galore!

Centrally located on Waiheke Island, Palm Beach is peaceful and quiet with a stunningly beautiful safe swimming, white sand beach and abundant birdlife

This fully self-contained stand-alone Villa, (not an apartment) has a private deck with outdoor furniture and barbecue and gorgeous views down to Palm Beach, the Pacific Ocean and islands beyond... the pristine white sands, a convenience/mini grocery store with coffee, ice creams and milkshakes and a new Restaurant is only a 5min tree lined walk away.

Bus stop at the bottom of the driveway and pick up and drop off is also available for Waiheke Island's famous wine tour or enjoy the local boutique shops, arts & crafts, exhibitions, gallery's, restaurants & café's on the Island

Your villa is completely self-contained:

This villa is privately owned but located within the security and manicured grounds of the Waiheke Island Resort at 4 Bay Road in Palm Beach. Although within the grounds, this property is privately owned and not run as part of the resort managed facility and therefore you are not officially entitled to use the swimming pool, spa pool or mini golf, but AS LONG AS YOU CHECK WITH RECEPTION FIRST AND THERE ARE NO PRIVATE FUNCTIONS BEING HELD, YOU CAN BUY A "POOL PASS" FOR $10 PER PERSON PER DAY, ENTITLING YOU TO USE THE POOL DECK, WITH SWIMMING POOL AND SPA POOL, AND YOU CAN OF COURSE BUY FOOD AND BEVERAGE TO ENJOY FROM THE BAR AND RESTAURANT, OPEN FROM EARLY MOST DAYS :) THERE IS ALSO MINI GOLF, AGAIN AS LONG AS IT IS NOT BOOKED WITH A PRIVATE FUNCTION, YOU CAN ENQUIRE TO PLAY FOR $10 PER PERSON

Kaka flying about the valley - great deck to watch birds if that’s your thing ! But note - it’s a very small two bedroom unit. You will be hearing each other fart. Beds are springy, roll together. Not cheap with cleaning fees etc - cheape just booking rooms in the resort for one night

clean and modern unit with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. great views to the north. reasonably easy access with limited onsite parking. decent onsite dining, also with amazing views. easy walk down to palm beach. we loved our stay here and would definitely come again

Wonderful Stay

We stayed at this property in late December 2023. Everything was wonderful. The rental is situated higher up on the hillside so the ocean view was such a treat. For a small fee we were able to use the outdoor pool, which also had a stunning ocean view. We walked down to the beach in the morning, and grabbed some coffees down there for a wonderful way to wake up. We'd love to return! Thank you for a great stay.

Palm beach villa

The property's views were all that it was advertised as, and it was exceptional sitting on the deck and having a vino and BBQ. We misread about the car though so just make sure you book it. I see the add now says the car that you may be able to hire. At the time of our booking, we read it as a car that comes with the property. We had someone in our party with a disability which is why we booked this option as we thought there was a car and that meant that they couldn't explore the island. For us it was an expensive lesson and disappointing. Especially since we will never make it back to the island again. Suzi was great with communication; the instructions were easy to follow, and we had no problems finding the venue, accessing the property or with what was available in the well stoked kitchen. Be aware when you book that there is a steep walk up a long drive if you are not able to walk.
