Midt på treet i Auckland
Vi valgte dette leilighetshotellet for å ha mulighet til å lage noen måltider selv. Frokost var inkludert i vår booking, og leiligheten i seg selv var ganske mørk og trist med en lite koselig lyssetting, som gjorde at vi valgte bort dette allikevel. Helt midt på treet leilighet og fasiliteter, og generelt liten kunnskap på resepsjonen, da vi spurte om ferger eller kollektivtransport. Ok om man ikke skal oppbevare seg over lengre tid på rommet.

Rimelig og komfortabelt sentralt i Auckland
Praktisk og rimelig overnatting sentralt i Auckland. 10 minutter til fots til Queen Street, og kanskje enda viktigere for yngre folk; 5 minutter unna Karangahape Road. Litt begrenset med toalettartikler, men kan sikkert be resepsjonen om påfyll (de rengjør ikke rommene daglig da dette er et leilighetshotell). Utsjekk klokka 10, så litt merkelig at resepsjonen var stappfull av hotellansatte som skulle registrere seg inn kl. 9. Det gjorde selvfølgelig at utsjekkingen tok veldig mye unødvendig tid. WiFi er ikke gratis som de sier selv. Du får visstnok 500MB gratis daglig, og kan kjøpe mer, men den gratisfunksjonen var overraskende nok ikke helt optimal..

I liked the size of the apartment and the cleanliness. It was a good base to visit the hospital. The parking was a little anxiety producing getting in and out but was a bonus as on site. The hand basin drained very slowly and I advised them. I would have like a scrubber to clean the pot with. It was spotless when we arrived but the dishwasher and soft cloth didn’t bring it back to that.

The room was dirty, we found a used make up brush on a skirting board and the cutlery looked like it had not been washed. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and the toilet brush was broken. The furniture was very dated and worn, same with the furniture and fittings throughout the room. Carpet was both worn and had holes. There was no way to adjust the air conditioner so we were at times very hot and very cold depending upon the time of day.

Well priced and within budget when you just need a place to stay the night that is clean, tidy and secure. Staff always polite and helpful. Apartments need an update as the sight of well worn carpet, visibly aged furnishings, paint chips and general wear and tear let down an otherwise enjoyable place to stay with a great view and an awesome location.

We don’t often post negative reviews but can’t deny the fact that our stay here was far than satisfactory. Accommodation in Akl is often inflated by high car park fees so we booked this place knowing that car parking was complimentary as per our Expedia status. Upon arrival we were told that the car park was full and would be full for the next 2 weeks - which makes no sense. There is no street parking so ended up in the Wilson’s car park. Our room smelt terrible, like serious body odour/sweat so we didn’t unpack but returned to reception. One gets the feeling that parts of the complex are used for emergency housing and that this room was one of them. Thankfully they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom apartment with great views. Carpet well worn with the rest of the apartment nice. After noting the lack of car parking in our initial check in review we received a phone call on day 2 notifying us that the car park was available for our final night. Unlikely we will be back and unlikely to recommend.

We booked a room with a King and Queen bed. When we got to our room, it was a Queen and two singles. The room had also not been cleaned as there were used towels and unmade beds. When we raised this and that it was the wrong beds, they gave us a new room, but didn't have any with the two beds initially booked. The windows also didn't shut properly, so you could hear wind coming in overnight. The shower head in the bathroom was also broken and slid down the pole and flopped forward constantly. Not a great stay, but central and cheap for a last minute trip to Auckland.

While the staff were great and helpful, the unit was poorly appointed and did not match that advertised at point of sale. Worn carpet and furnishings, with no air conditioning (which meant drapes had to be kept drawn to avoid the room becoming a sauna). The bed, however, was very good and comfortable. While parking is available, it is best suited to small vehicles and strong nerves (particularly when exiting)

The staff were friendly and kind. The beds are very comfy. The room has a balcony. They have parking available. It’s very close to queen street and the apartment fit my 5 person family well. There are cooking facilities and a dishwasher in the rooms. Everything else is outdated or broken. There was broken furniture all in the carpark. The room had stains, the carpet had bad repair jobs done. The washing machine in our apartment was leaking and unuseable during our 2 night stay. Our twin babies dropped food on the carpet that we would’ve vacuumed up ourselves if there was an option to do so. They charged us $80 “stain” fee. The pool is closed through the cold months and there is no inside pool. You can also hear through the walls quite well. (Sorry to any of our neighbours).

Liked the apartment style accommodation and space available. Disliked the lift not working, being unable to access other floors to be with our friends, the narrow and difficult car park, and the difficulty finding the entry to the complex to check-in, inclding where to park temporarily.

This was a great spot with great views and being amidst the big city. The appartments were very clean and perfect for our family of 5 to enjoy some city life for a spell. Parking easy and walking distance to many great spots. A central plesant location.

Didn't like the parking. So narrow and we couldn't fit our car in. The steep slope didn't help. Stairs at the front of the property meant that one had to carry heavy bags up and down.

The negative part is no air conditioning in neither of 2 bed rooms. The main air condition unit is located in the living room. The cool air is unable to enter the bed rooms. They did provide 2 table stand electrical fan in each room. But it does not have any effect to cool down or blow away the humid and bit hot air inside the unit.

Room was bigger than expected. Very clean and comfortable bed. Carpet and settee look tired but fine to use. Compact kitchen. Hotel didnt reply to my message before arriving confirming booking. Entrance is down steps or use loading area if in wheelchair. Yes a cemetery opp the front door. Get over it ! Its historic as Aucklands first cemetery worth a look. I dont agree with all the negative comments as great value for money

It's a nice central location. Staff at reception very friendly. Parking is terrible unfortunately,very steep. Hotel underground parking very tight too, and we had problems exiting at the ramp. Nice and clean inside the apartments. I thought the apartments came with washing machine and dryer, so queuing up for small washing was an issue. Overall though we had a pleasant stay.

The photo of the pool and then the photo in a different light and angel of the same pool with a "fitness facility" caption made us think there was a gym..Definitely was no gym..pretty deceiving marketing. And the pool was freezing with no seats or anything in the area like the pics show. Pool tiles looked very dirty also. Carpark very hard to get in and out of. Walls in room had visible marks all-over them where theyve been wiped with a cloth or something. Wish id read other reviews before booking.
