Wonderful property

Beautiful views, clean property, ample household amenities (bonus for families with small children), convenient to Asheville and surrounding areas. 30 minutes to must-see Mount Mitchell. Convenient to Camps Ridgecrest and Crestridge. We’ll be back!

Great Property

Loved the property. Absolutely beautiful house and area. The views are spectacular, you feel as though you are secluded in nature. The VRBO was well stocked and everything was nice. The family that owns it was very nice. The beds were very comfortable, and sitting out on the raised deck overlooking the sunset was breathtaking. A few things to know. The location is up the mountain, so it is along a very windy road, about 10-15 minutes into town. It isn't that long, but if you are doing it to just get food or something from the drugstore, it is a long way, especially as windy as it is. Second, the driveway is very steep. Overall, we loved it. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place great views process was easy

Overall great stay beautiful place -the beds were pretty uncomfortable and the advertisement stated there were exterior lights - I think those were burned out - the only one that worked was on the balcony so for two females late at night on top of the mountain it was a little dark! But again, beautiful place and overall great stay.

Beautiful place and we had a nice time but...

When we arrived, there was no heat, which was surprising because it had a Nest system. It was 50 degrees. 2 hours later it was 60 degrees so I called the rental management's emergency line and left a message. We didn't get a call back and an hour later it was still only 62 degrees. We went to bed and sometime during the night the heat finally kicked on. It was fine the rest of our stay but someone who manages the rental should have made sure there was heat on in November in the mountains. Otherwise, a beautiful property just steps away from the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking trails.

Fantastic property!

We loved this property so much we booked it a second time. It's location on Black Mountain provides great hikes nearby & isn't far from town. The views from inside and the patio are beautiful! Can't beat them! The beds are so comfortable & everything was very clean. We brought our kids, ages 2 and 5 and had no problems with their safety or entertainment while here either. It's always our first stop on VRBO to check avail before heading to Asheville!

Great location just outside of Asheville with breathtaking views of the Appalachians.

We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed 3 more! This 2 bedroom cottage was perfect for our 4-person party. The views of the surrounding Appalachians were breathtaking, especially since the fall colors were in full effect. Located directly off the Blue Ridge parkway, it was easy to find and convenient for those who love those majestic mountain views, but want to experience the area and many amenities of Asheville. I highly recommend this property for anyone planning a trip to Asheville.

Two-story duplex in residential area in woods near Asheville

This unit was fine for us (two adults). The bedroom, living room, and kitchen are on the top level. The washer and dryer and two other bedrooms are on the bottom level. This unit is not suitable for children or people with mobility issues. There is a very steep stairway down to the bottom level from a narrow hallway which does not have a door or any barrier. It made me nervous, and would not be safe for children. There are also a couple of steps from the garage up to the living area, and steps up to a balcony to get to the front door. Also, there is only a small table with two chairs to eat meals, plus two stools at the kitchen island. If you have more than two adults, there is no place to seat everyone to eat. Also there was a table on the balcony and patio, but no chairs. The unit is within a 15 minute drive to the Biltmore Estate and Asheville. It is a quiet residential area in the woods (no view of mountains). The picture in this listing is not accurate because the owner cancelled our reservation one week before our arrival and offered us another unit. We were not happy about this last-minute change. The new unit was okay, but not what we had originally wanted.

Recently renovated new listing but it need of attention to details. Not clean, no outdoor furniture for deck, no hair dryers, broom/dust pan, trash bags and other essentials. Poor craftsmanship on installation of floor and tile.

Wonderful property

We enjoyed this property since it was a nice loft set up and both rooms were very clean and well laid out. The location of this is also pretty central to downtown Asheville and it's a short trip so you get the best of both worlds - the mountain experience with an easy drive into town. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Lovely place

Didn't realize until later that this lovely condo is RIGHT off the Blue Ridge Pkwy. Great little place if you want quiet, your own deck and a beautiful view. Easy access to points north and south and hiking trails within walking distance. Everything you could need in the condo is there. Only suggestion is that there's a lovely breeze up in that spot and only two screens for the whole place (living room/one bedroom). Would be ideal condo if there were screens on all windows to open up to that beautiful mountain air. The smaller bedroom was hot at night b/c couldnt open window (and there was no need for a/c with all that great air outside!). Otherwise, SUCH an easy, lovely, stylish place to stay! thank you!

Blue Ridge parkway VRBO

Excellent property. Very clean and updated. All necessary essentials are provided. Beautiful views, great location to hiking trails. 10-15 minutes North of downtown Asheville. I would recommend highly. No more than 4 people or space could be tight. Could use a love seat in lieu of a chair for sitting space and door locks need updates but otherwise a terrific stay.

Unbelievable View

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed through VRBO. The property was updated, clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The mountain view is breathtaking and the stillness of the mountains was so relaxing. Downtown Asheville was only a few minutes away. We will be staying there again!

Incredible from every angle

Amazing property, beautiful location, awesome hosts! If you want to be close enough to downtown Asheville to enjoy the sights without having to battle traffic, this is your spot. If you want to experience the WNC wilderness without just outside your door, this is your spot. If you want to just chill in a modern and comfortable lodging, this is your spot! Can’t say enough good things about the spot - see it for yourself. Wonderful.

Great rental in a great location

The property was exactly as advertised. Clean, bright, modern, well-maintained with high quality linens, toiletries, appliances and cookware. It had beautiful views and felt remote but was easy to get to town and to all the attractions that Asheville has to offer. Highly recommend! Only two slight suggestions since the rental is above a three car garage. It would be nice to have a deadbolt lock on the apartment door instead of only a chain on the door between the garage and apartment. Since the property is somewhat remote and it is very dark at night, it would also be nice if the homeowner left the driveway lights on when guests are renting.

Bathroom privacy

A great property. Extremely clean. Beds were great. The washer and dryer is definitely an added benefit. The only "negative" comment from my wife is a curtain/shade is needed on the bathroom window and there is no cabinet kitchen storage for groceries. The latter really didn't affect us since we only ate breakfast in the cottage and dinner was always in Asheville. We would definitely come back again

Quick Getaway

My husband and I took a quick anniversary trip and had a great time! This property was beautiful, clean, and well appointed, with a nice view. It's walkable to the Craven Gap trail and conveniently located to downtown, right off the park way. would recommend/stay here again.

Birthday Getaway for the wifey

This cottage was first rate, just like the pictures advertised. Renting the unit was a breeze. Well stocked with new towels, blankets, modern furniture, cooking utensils and kitchen appliances. Provided great mountain views from inside the unit and from the deck. There is a hiking trail within walking distance. My only complaint is that all locks on the unit doors should work. Because this unit is above a shared three-car garage, other people can leave the garage door up, (which is what happen while i was there). The inside garage door only had a chain latch securing it (easy access to the unit if the garage door is up). The upstairs door to the unit had both locks disabled (I reported this and was told it was intentional, as people loose there keys?). The exterior door to get into the unit was a touch pad lock with a chain-latch. So all in all I recommend you look at the access/door lock situation. The unit itself was beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.
