«The cottage is in the perfect area to view the northern lights. It’s just close enough to the nearby town and just far enough to not get the light pollution. The outdoor hot tub for each individual cottage is perfect to sit in and watch the lights. They have the cutest ‘community’ dog that is very sweet and so well behaved. Just be aware if you are allergic to dogs! The bed seems to be a bit old and it was awkward to have just one side to get in and out through as the rest of the bed is up ...

«Das Cottage ist sehr klein aber sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Es war alles da was man brauchte. Allerdings ist das Bett für zwei Personen viel zu klein und dass das Bad nicht komplett abgeschlossen war führt dazu, dass keine Privatsphäre vorhanden ist. Daher nur 4 Sterne. Vermieterin ist sehr nett und sympathisch. »

«I loved this cottage and was so sad to leave! I have never stayed at such a comfortable and cozy place. We arrived late at night and it was such a breath of fresh air walking into the cottage. Everything was just perfect. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. We were close to the golden circle and south coast so a slow exploration of the area was possible. »

«Wir waren mit der Familie hier. Das Haus ist für 5 Personen ideal und sehr gemütlich. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Highlight war der Whirlpool in den wir jeden Tag reingesprungen sind. Das Haus ist wunderschön gelegen. Wir haben von hier aus viele Ausflüge auf dem Golden Ring und sogar bis zur Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon unternommen. Island hat uns fantastisch gefallen und gerne kommen wir eines Tages wieder.»

«Beautiful home, great location, loved the sauna. Only 2 of the 3 beds were made before our party arrive so we had to hunt for the extra bedding but non issue in the end. Great coffee, shower and heated floors awesome! Highly recommend »

«The full kitchen was delightful. Really enjoyed the full size shower. Unfortunately the northern lights didn’t pay us a visit during our stay but the location views were incredible. Very thankful to stay in such a beautiful place.»

«Gljúfurbústaðir is a lovely place, perfectly positioned for exploring the South Coast or doing the Golden Circle. Very spacious. Hot tub a nice bonus. Not a big deal, but the hot water smells strongly of sulphur (low carbon footprint!). »

«The cabin is cozy and well appointed. We had several problems that were taken care of as soon as was feasible. It is Iceland, so they are very helpful, and did come up with temporary fixes in some cases. Some things do take longer than in the U.S. I would stay there again for sure. The location is a bit off when trying to find it, the links on VRBO do need to be attended to. I think there are 3 different ones. We drove around awhile before finding it by the pictures. «Recommended and the hot tub was wonderful! However, just to be aware - be very careful if you use the shower near the hot tubs. The floor can be very slippery and in fact, I fell and hurt my knee and left foot which was bruised purple for weeks afterward. I highly recommend they put down some kind of rubber mat to keep people from slipping!»
