Alpine Solitude was designed with peace, comfort, and natural immersion in mind. Nestled in a quiet secluded spot on Barn Hill Drive, the home offers floor-to-ceiling windows, light-filled living spaces, and a warm, earthy interior that reflects its wild surroundings.

Gather in the open-plan living and dining area, featuring a cozy double sided fireplace and expansive mountain views. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped from the Nespresso machine to high-end appliances, perfect for cooking at home or entertaining after a day on the trails.

The large floor to ceiling windows can be opened up creating and open indoor-outdoor open space to truly capture your surroundings.

Outdoor Areas and Location:

Step outside to your own private alpine sanctuary. Enjoy morning coffee on the patio overlooking the golden Central Otago rolling farmland, unwind in the hot tub under the stars, or take an outdoor shower in the sun after a day of biking on the Twin Rivers Trail.

Guest Access:

Guests can enjoy access to the full property including the outdoor areas. Access code for the door will be given 24 hours before arrival.

Neighborhood:

The property is secluded with no visible neighbors on farmland. The Twin River bike trail runs directly in front of the property where you can join to go in either direction.

Interaction:

We will be available to answer any questions you may have prior or during your stay. The team at Tahuna will also be on call for any urgent needs after 5 pm.

Getting Around:

Enjoy the best of both worlds with easy access to local hotspots. The property is a 9 minute drive to Arrowtown, 14 minutes to Frankton or 22 minutes to Queenstown central. The property has multiple private car spaces available. We recommend having a car at this property due to its secluded location. There is no public transport available.
