Paradise
The property is absolutely stunning! There is wildlife galore on the property and you feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest. We had perfect weather and it was a little cooler but, if it wasn’t, the lack of air conditioning may have been rough! Love love loved this place and so did the whole group. 10/10 would recommend.

ABSOLUTE PARADISE
Oh my!!! What an experience! The property was absolutely fantastic! It gave us all of the peace and seclusion that we needed! My husband and I celebrated our 13 year wedding anniversary and my birthday for 5 days and I can truly say this was by far the BEST villa I have ever visited. The tropical paradise that we experienced was unreal. First of all, the property is HUGE and the landscape is GORGEOUS! I called it the Garden of Eden. The view of the lake and rainforest was amazing from the upstairs section of the villa. The flowers and various plants were stunningly beautiful and the variation of different trees, including palm trees were very pleasing to the eye. There are lime trees and pineapple bushes on the property, which was an amazing treat and we used one that had fallen to take shots and add to our salads one day. The villa is well-stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware, and everything else. The washer and dryer was a big plus because it rained a bit while we were there, but I did not mind. It comes and goes. The plunge pools were so nice and the trails were great! More like something out of The Jungle Book. Might I add, the variety of BIRDS was such a pleasant addition. Many different humming birds and other beautiful tropical birds visited every day in abundance. They sang to us every morning. It was amazing to see! I took a walk everyday on the property and discovered something new and serene each day! It was HEAVEN! Book and you will not regret it!

Feb 2024 stay
Our family truly enjoyed the beautiful grounds and location of Lake View Villa. We woke to howler monkeys every morning and our sons saw 3. We saw multiple birds including hummingbirds, toucans, aracaris, parrots, parakeets, bananaquits and many more. Grounds are well maintained, very peaceful and relaxing. The location is close to good restaurants and 2 small sized grocery stores (10-15 minutes) and within about an hour of other activities.

Beautiful gardens. Spent hours on balcony watching wildlife enjoying coffee in the morning and margaritas in afternoon. Everything you need is there at a reasonable price. Close to good restaurants (10 minutes) multitude of activities within 1 hours drive. Do not hesitate to rent this beautiful quiet home.

Nature Lovers' Paradise
The Villa was a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing week in nature. The birds were breathtaking. We heard howler monkeys every day and saw them several times. A very persistent coati was often attempting to pilfer the fruit from the birds. The grounds and paths are beautiful, but because of the rain we didn't have much opportunity to explore. However, the weather was warm, and the patio was dry, and the birds did not seem to mind the rain. They were always ready to put on a great show!

Beautiful Views, Tropical Forest Feel
We stayed here for four nights and absolutely loved it. The property grounds were beautifully vivid, and the layout allowed for superb viewing of the many bird species around. Inside, there was an upstairs and downstairs kitchen that came in very handy when we felt like cooking. The decor and vibe had a very relaxed, tropical feel, and the upstairs balcony was a neat way to see different views from the downstairs views. We also loved walking around on the short forest paths, where there were strawberry poison dart frogs and amazing plant life. The bird species were incredible, with toucans coming right up to the house. Finally, we appreciated that we felt safe and comfortable for our entire stay!

Beautiful place
The house was beautiful although we were rarely there. We only got to explore the first day around thw property because of the rain but we knew it was the rainy season. It wasnt too far from most everything you definitely need to rent a car. We had issues with the wifi but the property manager was diligent and was able to get it resolved. The cell service isnt very good so we were very greatful that she was able to fix it. There is no ac so keep that in mind but many places in Costa Rica dont have ac. There were plenty of fans provided to make sleeping comfortable.Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Costa Rica Rainforest
The house is an oasis in the rainforest! It has all of the amenities that you need, and you can't beat the property views, birds and rainforest trail! Allow time to just sit and enjoy the land. It is located about an hour's drive from La Fortuna and 45 min from the base of Arenal. The listing notes the master suite has a separate entrance, but it didn't register with me that there would be no interior access between floors. Not a problem for our group, just an FYI for those traveling with younger kids. We are already thinking about staying there again.

Finding it was a bit tricky. House was clean but it had its moments with ants and such. It is the rain forest. Everything we needed was there and it was well stocked with toiletries, games, movies, etc. They have a new rescued dog down the street that came by a few times and he is a bit out of control. They gave us a water bottle to shoo him away when we need him to leave. Good restaurants nearby, great views!! Fun 10 point wellness walk around the property. The grounds are well groomed. No monkeys but tons of birds! We had a lot of flea bits or ant bites. We used several different mosquito ki repellents but it didn’t do as much as we needed. Overall it was a nice stay for us.

Location, location, location
Once you navigate the steep driveway, the grounds are stunning. Besides the beautiful flowers and plants, we saw so many birds - love that there is a platform feeder right off the patio. We also saw howler monkeys. The house is clean and comfortable and has every kitchen item you could need. Beds are comfy. The reason for the 4 star rating is the wifi. The signal was weak at best and we had a couple of outages in the time we were there. Not great for remote work. Overall, though, this is a lovely place to stay for a relaxing getaway and take in the beauty that is Costa Rica!

Pure Paradise - Pura Vida
To start with.... WOW.. This property is amazing, from our lovely hosts that got us settled in and gave us some tips about what to visit in the area, to the stunning property with little water features, and fun natural spring splash pool the kids loved to play in, the secluded nature features and short trails into the jungle right from the property. This villa has it all. Kitchen was stocked well with all essentials, beds were clean and comfortable and we felt more than safe during our stay. Thanks again!

Quiet and comfotable retreat in nature
First of all the property managers Sandy and Mike are exceptional. They are quick to respond and resolved some scheduling issue with App/Owner rapidly and got us ready for check in with short notice and provided helpful tips and key information about the area. Bananas Mike dropped off were sweet and unaltered flavor unlike store bought. House itself stocked with basics and was very spacious for 2 kids and 2 adults and plenty of spots to take in the views and sounds. We saw and heard Toucans every day and many exotic birds. House itself was central for our plan to go to Tenorio/Arenal and sorrounding activities. It is 10mins from Nuevo Arenal town and you can get pretty much everything you need in town. But if your activities are in LaFortuna/Arenal Volcano it is about an hour drive, which goes by fast with some other points of interest and views on the way. Property has its own rain forest trail which we explored one day and provides interesting sights of creeks/waterfalls and rainforest canopy to explore. Washer/Dryer was great amenity, something we didn't know we needed so badly after daily activities. It was a relaxing 5 days for us and everyone wants more of the same.

Costa Rica at it's best
We had such a great time at this property. The pictures do not do this property justice. The grounds are so so pretty. It is relaxing and a great place to be. Sandy, the manager, was very responsive and communicated well. We had a couple of needs while we were there and she responded quickly. She also referred us to a local guide, chOps_Cote, that really introduced us to Costa Rica, not the touristy areas of Fortuna but the "typical tico" of Lakes Arenal and Cote. There were 5 of us. The top floor is only accessible through the outside private entrance. Prior to our trip, the owner was very responsive and answered all of my questions. We look forward to coming back here!

It is beautiful. We really enjoyed sitting outside, watching the birds and enjoying the view of the lake and Sky. We fed the birds and wish that we had started doing it on the first day so that we could have attracted more by the time we left. We loved having the games to play and the puzzle to put together. The hammock swing chair was super comfy. The owner’s brother is quick and responsive should you need anything. The weather was perfect. We normally are an A/C family but there was no need for it. This place is also perfect for separate couples because the upstairs is essentially a studio unit with its own kitchen and it has a separate outside entrance. It was perfect for our family with two teen kids. We highly recommend this house for some peace and quiet at Arenal.

Wonderful place to relax
Wonderful place to relax! We were there for 10 days and the weather was perfect. Only had one day of rain. Chuck went out one day with a local fishermen on Lake Arenal and caught three of the rainbow bass fish. They were delicious. We spent the day at Baldi day Hot Springs. It was gorgeous. But we signed up for lunch and dinner and the food was not very good. A Fabulous place to visit is the Butterfly Conservatory right outside La Fortuna. And of course do the zip line which is close by there called the Sky Tram. If you book this place you will not be disappointed as it is wonderful. Mike and Sandy are great also. We loved Oso the dog!

Wonderful 4 nights
We had 4 adults staying for our four nights. I can't say enough about both the unit and the people to care for it. It is not a luxurious place but is plenty nice and clean. What we like most was the amount of bird life we saw at the unit. We put fruit on the feeders which attracted around 50 species of birds. It was amazing.

Beautiful Views
The house is in a very beautiful location with hiking trails down to Lake Arenal, and a small stream running through the property. Sandy was great at check in and is onsite at a separate house near by if needed and pre check-in communication from Daniel was great! The views from the top deck are spectacular, and we particularly enjoyed feeding and watching all the beautiful birds on the property. This house is a little isolated, so if you like to be near the action that may be a consideration. Also, driveway entrance is a little tricky to maneuver, but other than that it's a great place to stay. If you're looking for peace and quiet it's perfect!!!

Amazing Stay at the Lakeside Villa!
My boyfriend and I traveled to Costa Rica for the first time and chose the Lakeside Villa as our home for the first 5 days of our trip. We chose it because of the beautiful gardens and setting in the rain forest, and we were NOT disappointed. We saw so many cool, tropical birds, including Aracari Toucans and many kinds of tanagers and a few Magpie -Jays, to name a few. We loved drinking our coffee on the porch and listening to the sights and sounds of the jungle. We also heard and saw howler monkeys right on the property. We traveled north to Rio Celeste, which was a bumpy but beautiful drive! We ate at some wonderful local restaurants and sodas and were never disappointed with the food. We also did a day trip to La Fortuna and saw sloths and did a coffee tour. The place was clean and well stocked and everything we needed (and more) was there for us. One thing we did not expect was the almost constant rain. I'm sure it was our lack of knowledge, but we thought we were visiting in the dry season (end of December), but it turned out it rains off and on almost every day all year in this area of Costa Rica. It is usually a light rain, but we did not see much sun while we were here, however, the temperatures were VERY comfortable and the most we ever needed was a light sweatshirt. We would highly recommend this property and its views and wildlife and its spaciousness. Very great first impression of Costa Rica.

We are so glad you enjoyed the pristine rain forest and stream on the property. You are correct that January is typically dry or minimal rain but we have been there in November which is in the rainy season and had sunny days for 2 weeks with rain only during the night.. I am so glad you saw the Howler monkeys as they migrate over the 40 acres of the estate and the birds are amazing. Come back any time.

Fantastic Place
The home is exactly as advertised. It is clean, roomy, well equipped and comfortable. The gardens are gorgeous, with a huge variety of birds and occasional four legged visitor. The covered patio area was great, and dry when we had the occasional shower. The surrounding area was just what we had hoped for, natural, peaceful and quiet. Will we return? We hope to!

Heaven on Earth
The Lakeview Villa is paradise. Landscaping is pristine. Total immersion in the Costa Rican life. The villa has two stories, completely separate, so we as a couple did not even use the top floor. The bottom villa so suited our needs. We came to relax, go at our own pace, and see if we would blend into the culture, and our goal was accomplished. It would also be a great home base for those who wanted to enjoy the activities in the area. The villa was very clean, and has everything you need, except food and there are several groceries in the area. The only thing I would mention is there is no mechanical A/C, but the breeze, the open windows and doors make it very comfortable. Few to no mosquitoes in the rainy season. I was really surprised. I cannot say enough about Sandy and Mike McBride. They are a wealth of knowledge, and so friendly. We already miss them and their little dog OSO. Definitely would return.

This house is a destination itself.
Loved the location and views. Check in and check out was easy. It's not next to the touristy towns, which is a good thing. Nice location for venturing into the local mountains. The upstairs flooring is loud downstairs, but not so bad when the downstairs bedroom door is closed. We really loved exporing the property all the way down to the lake. Thanks!

Privacy and seclusion in the rainforest!
If you're looking for complete immersion in the tropical surroundings, experiencing nature sounds and sights night and day, this is a great property for you! Our family had a wonderful time. We struggled a bit in the heat and humidity, however you just accept that this is a part of being in the middle of the jungle with no air conditioning. Insects large and small and in big quantities are also a part of the experience here. The amazing positive aspects of this property are the lake views, incredible sunrises, sunsets, nature's 24/7 soundtrack, the privacy and seclusion, and the neighborhood dogs coming to visit us every day!

Wow!! Is all I can say
Where to start on this spectacular home!! Mike and Sandy are such great hosts and full of great information. We loved hiking around the property and saw Howler monkeys, tons of beautiful birds and Dart frogs. We saw more wildlife on the property than we did on an excursion that we paid for. The views from the house and the sunsets are spectacular. The kitchen is the best kitchen with everything you need for every kind of meal you want to cook. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we are planning on coming back after staying here. Mike gave us great hints on where to go for food. His information on going to Baldi Thermal Springs was amazing and we are so glad we took his advice in going there instead of the other springs. We enjoyed just hanging out on the upper and lower decks watching all the wildlife. You won't be disappointed if you book this wonderful house.

A wonderful location to enjoy nature with a great view of the lake
We were 2 retired couples touring in CR and this was our first trip to the Arenal region. The property was as described and was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Everything was there that we needed including rain gear which we needed since we got 3 days of rain during our visit. The rain didn't dampen our visit at all (since the area is a rain forest). We continued to do our touring to attractions like the hot springs. Bird watching from the property was amazing and the howler monkeys made their presence known morning and evening. Our on-site hosts. Sandy and Mike. were very hospitable and let us know they were available if we needed anything. We used the trails along the stream that ran across the beautifully landscaped property. How could you not be relaxed here. You definitely need a car here to explore the area. Comments by others on this site indicated that the upstairs floor is noisy to those below which is true. However, it isn't a problem over the lower bedroom area since that area is set off to the side of the lower space. We had just a great visit and would definitely return.

Beautiful house and amazing property
We stayed at this property for one week over New Years. Micheal and Sandy (the local rental managers) were fantastic. Very helpful while also respecting our privacy. We were thrilled the first morning we woke early to explore the land, and saw a troop of howler monkeys! The monkeys were close by (or on the property) almost the entire week we were there. The property is meticulous with some areas landscaped and others wild/natural (with paths and a natural creek). The access to the lake is about a 5-10 minute walk and has a portion that is a wooded path (watch for spiders!). There is no dock in the lake so not easy for swimming though it is certainly possible. Bird watchers will LOVE this property. So many cool birds! The house itself was clean and comfortable. I was concerned when I first realized there is no air conditioner, but we found that the cool mountain breezes and fans provided made the temperature quite comfortable (I even needed to grab an extra blanket to sleep). There are a couple of cons. The upper level's floor is very squeaky and is loud for those sleeping on the main level. When the people upstairs get up for the day, it's guaranteed to wake everyone on the main level. Also, there is no hot water running to the sink taps in the upper level (in the kitchenette nor the bathroom). The shower upstairs does have hot water but we found that if someone was showering in the main level bathroom, the water upstairs was lukewarm at best. Also, be sure to keep the place spotless (free of crumbs, and any food particles including fruit juices). In Costa Rica, there are tiny ants that can fit through the window screens and are happy to invade your kitchen or swarm things left out that have food for them. Thankfully we never had ants in the main level. However upstairs, I left a knife out that was used to cut up some fruit while we were out on a hike and within 2 hours, it was covered in the miniature ants. Once I cleaned that up, it was not much of a problem. Sandy (the manager) said she would put some ant traps (raid?) out for us. Note, I don't fault the property for the ants, you just need to be vigilant to keep things clean. All in all, we loved the place and the property and I would recommend it.

We are so glad you had a wonderful experience at our home in Costa Rica in spite of the cons mentioned. Our house was built in 2004 by a Costa Rican contractor according to Costa Rican standards. The wood for the floors came from his farm and he took the wood to the local sawmill to have the trees cut into flooring. There was no queaking the first 5 years, but in speaking with him he claims the wood will squeak over time. We have tried many ideas but have been told nothing will take away the squeak other than replacing the beautiful costa rican wood with tile. There are certain things that come with the experience like the sounds of the howler monkeys, the songs of the birds, the running water near the house, the croaking of the frogs etc. Also according to the Costa Rican standards of that time there was no hot water in the bathroom sinks, They claim mechanical friction is the most important factor in hand hygiene and as a nurse I lso believe this to be true. We would have to go through the walls to add hot water which we may do this year.The demand water heater is the largest that was adapted to private homes and it heats the water as it comes out so if the two showers are long it cannot keep up with the demand. If the showers are staggered, there is no problem with the demand for hot water. And so true about the ants in CostaRica. Sandy keeps the house very clean but if a crumb of food is left out, it becomes a free for all feast for those tiny ants.They live in the environment and are just waiting for that feast so don't tempt or indulge them if you do not want them around. We love our home and the Costa Rican beauty with all its sounds. We are so glad you were able to see past the cons to have a wonderful adventure.

Beautiful surroundings, Rain Forest experience
Our family of 6 loved our stay here. The grounds are beautiful and the kids loved walking the trails through the rain forest. The house was clean and plenty of space. The bird watching from the yard was amazing. The highlight for us was watching a group of howler monkeys moving through the forest, including seeing a mom with a baby on her back and a couple other young ones. According to Mike they visit this area about once every couple of months, so were lucky. I will say that there is NO WAY to sleep through the howls when they start early in the morning...but the bit of lost sleep was well worth the experience. You can get whatever you need from the local town, Nuevo Arenal and this location let's you explore south to La Fortuna area and north to Tenorio. We would definitely recommend the house and area.

Lake View Villa is a beautiful home with gorgeous landscaped garden!
Our group of 4 active adults (two couples—one couple had been to Costa Rica before, the other couple’s first time) shared this house for two weeks and fell in love with it and the beautifully landscaped garden! From the upper level there is a spectacular view of Lake Arenal and there is also a view from the downstairs level. Every day we heard howler monkeys, saw toucans, beautiful tanagers and orioles, loads of different hummingbirds, lots and lots of other birds, frogs, leafcutter ants, and some sort of lightning bug that was so interesting! Since we were there for two weeks, we planned a “big activity” every other day, staying at the rental to enjoy the garden and surrounding towns of Nuevo Arenal, Aguacate, and La Fortuna on the alternate days. There were days when we didn’t want to leave to go into town because the house is just awesome! Everything you would ever need is in the house. Plenty of utensils, large refrigerator, nice stove and oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, toaster etc, outdoor wood grill, too! Washer and dryer was greatly appreciated! Shopping is close by, and lots of great restaurants, too! (Try Las Delicias in Nuevo Arenal—Berta, the owner is a wonderful cook and most of what she cooks comes from her own garden. She also sells fresh fruit and vegetables from her garden and everything we bought from her was delicious!) The two levels at Lake View Villa worked out perfectly for us so that each couple had some privacy, and then we could all come together to cook, eat and hang out in the roomy living room or on the outdoor patio. There are loads and loads of dvd movies and some board games if you stay in—but why would you? You’re in paradise! Go explore! The house is very well maintained, and if you need anything, the managers are just a short walk down the drive. Michael and Sandy are the perfect hosts—they are there if you need them or have questions. They both gave us great tips for upcoming events in Nuevo Arena, places to eat, etc. And their little dog, Oso, is adorable and came to visit us often. We all agreed that would go back to this rental in a minute—as a matter of fact, I am planning a return trip to Costa Rica, hopefully in the next two years and will definitely book this gorgeous Lake View Villa if it’s available! I would suggest flying into Liberia (a breeze as compared to San Jose) and renting a car. From this location, you really do need a car. Just can’t say enough about this gorgeous house!

Great experience
GREAT house and even BETTER landscaping. We were greeted by toucans and howler monkeys within 5 minutes of our arrival ! The hike down to the lake is also a wonderful activity. Sit back and watch the numerous birds ... relaxing feels natural here. Thanks for having us !

A beautiful oasis in Nuevo Arenal
This is a beautiful setting with 2 separate living areas. Perfect for 2 couples or family with older children. While here you will feel like you are in your private resort with the gardens, hiking trails to Lake Arenal, waterfalls, birds at the feeder and we can't forget the howler monkey alarm clock. The villa is well stocked and in excellent condition. Even fresh flowers on the table and coffee for your stay. Michael and Sandy check in to make sure you are doing okay and offer suggestions on what to do. Only caution we would offer is that it is quite far to La Fortuna and many of the activities...not far by kilometres but the road is windy and slow. A car is needed although there is bus service which we didn't use . The wifi is good and there are lots of movies to watch. No tv service. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing beautiful setting, this is the perfect place for you.

Absolutely Beautiful!!
We loved staying here. The landscape is amazing!! Gorgeous flowers and bushes of all colors. Beautiful property. Howling monkeys nearby. Birds of all kinds. It is a real gem. The home is well kept with thoughtful items included. Michael and Sandy are kind and knowledgeable. Absolutely beautiful!!

Magnificent views from well maintained house
The panoramic views towards the lake are unbeatable. The house is in good order. Everything works. The quirky layout has been described in other reviews. It was not a problem for us, though the small single beds in the living room were more suited to children than adults. The grounds slope so steeply that exploring them takes greater fitness than we had appreciated from the description. Not helped by wet weather which made trails slippery. There also seemed to be some neighbourly dispute about access. The wet weather made bird sightings only occasional. We saw much more in the grounds of the Lucky Bug Hotel down the road.

A+++ Location, scenery, peaceful, all amenities you need!!!
Beautiful location, peaceful yet close enough to town and other surrounding attractions you'd be interested in. All the amenities you need are in the home. Bird watchers will love this as well since you can see all types of birds from the home. I even saw a toucan! Mike and Sandy were very helpful answering questions on the area as well. A+++

Amazing rainforest villa
Our family had a wonderful time here. From the moment we opened the car doors late evening and heard the forest sounds. Next day woken by howler monkeys. Mike came over to show us them in the trees. Great start to holiday. We saw so many different birds , lizards, snakes, poison dart frogs, coatimundi, fire flies, variegated squirrel...the list goes on. Must does: kayaking, night walk at Ecocentro Danaus. This is the best place we have ever stayed.

Private, safe and comfortable
We had a great stay at Daniel's house. Daniel is easy to communicate with and answers all questions. Michael and Sandy were very helpful and accommodating. The villa was a perfect set up for our family vacation. We felt safe having our two pre-teenagers upstairs. The house has everything needed for day to day living. We loved the beautiful private set up in the jungle and enjoyed the view. My family enjoyed all the outdoor activities Arenal Volcano has to offer, white water rafting, zip lining, hot springs, nature tours and others. Highly recommended! We hope to go back here. Pura Vida!

Beautiful Home, Wonderful Grounds, Gracious Hosts
Our experience was off to a great start as the owners and the manager of the home were extremely accommodating and very accessible. This home is near the lovely smaller town of Nuevo Arenal. We always enjoy being away from more touristy locations, in this case La Fortuna, when we travel and this was just perfect. We had our own car so we were able to make some great day trips from the home and then end our days in our clean, comfortable and well equipped VRBO rental. The view is absolutely gorgeous and there is wonderful hiking and exploration activities right in the back yard. We were greeted each morning with the sound of howler monkeys and the songs of the local birds. We traveled with our 4 children. The younger two stayed downstairs with us and the teens were excited to have their own apartment and separate entry upstairs. The first day we enjoyed the grounds and the children swam in the waterfall right down the stream and we continued on with a hike to the lake. It's not a great place to swim without a proper beach but a few of the children did venture in for a bit. Do not leave without a good dose of bug spray for everyone. Our second day we spent at the Baldi Hot Springs definitely a great place for the kids. It's basically a water park with a few slides and a bunch of pool with hot water which I loved. Never got cold! Touristy of course, but a major highlight. Our third day was a hike near the 1968 eruption of the volcano. It was challenging, but not technical. Our children don't love to hike ,but this was a day for us so they came along. It's a good work out going up and then down a narrow rocky path. We did see monkeys and lots of leaf cutter ants. We were sad to have to leave our little oasis, but had an excellent time. Definitely one of our best rentals we have ever had in our budget. We highly recommend this wonderful home.

Wonderful, peaceful, well equipped Villa
My family of 5 adults stayed at the Villa. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it to everyone. It was very peaceful and full of Rainforest life. We were surrounded by all kinds of nature. The hikes they have around the property were fine to follow and fun to do. We also went for a swim at the lake. It would had been nice if they had some kind of dock at the lake, since getting muddy wasn't too much fun. The house was very comfortable and the double/queen beds were great. The two single beds downstairs were very small, not even twin size but they worked fine for each adult. The only thing that was hard was the fact that people staying upstairs really couldn't feel like in the same group since the stairs to connect both floors are outside of the house. The floors upstairs are noisy and everyone downstairs could hear the walking around loudly at night.p Other than that the views are spectacular. The upstairs balcony that surrounds almost the entire house has breathtaking views. The chairs are inviting to just sit and read a book and relax. They also have nice sitting patio downstairs. The wifi worked fine. They have a selection of movies and most of them work. We were able to travel to nearby Tabacon area for a day at the hot springs. Our children were able to go nearby for kayaking as well. The booking was done very smoothly. Quick response. We would go again! Thank you Daniel and MIchael!

Great place to explore from
Nice house on beautiful grounds with a lake view, spring, and rainforest trail. Nice to be able to cook at home or check out the area restaurants. Wished we had stayed longer there is a lot to do but also a nice spot to chill.

Truly a 5 out of 5 -
We've been renting houses in Costa Rica for 10 years now and for this price point this house is a 5 out of 5. The house is beautiful - the view is awesome. The location is great. The house is well kept and well stocked with everything you might need including binoculars for all the magnificent birds in the area. Our hosts - while technically near by in case we wanted or needed anything were never obtrusive and gave us our complete privacy. We would and probably will stay here again.
