Good hotel ruined by service standard and respect
We had a terrible experience with this hotel, unfortunately. The first time me and my (now) wife came here - this is the place we got married, just a week before this stay. We had a good experience, even if the reception were slow to process our requests. Now, we decided to stay here the week after the wedding to relax and enjoy. So I booked online and called the hotel who confirmed our booking and I asked for them to get us picked up with a car about 40 minutes away from the hotel at 3pm. They confirmed time and location and said the driver was on his way when we talked at 2pm. When time was 3:30 pm, me and my wife had been waiting for 30 mins in the heat of the sun for our car, so I called the hotel reception who said the driver is on his way, and it should not be more than 30 minutes away. When the time was 4:15 PM, I once again called and they said, sorry for being late, but he was on his way. Now, this process was repeated 4-5 times. Now, at 6:00 pm, the driver was finally there, but now we had waited for 3 hours in the sun and we had already informed the hotel that we were very disappointed and our trust in the hotel had declined into zero decided that we didnt want to go through with it. They offered to cut the amount of php paid by 800 php, which was not the type of compensation we were looking for. This was very unproffessional by the hotel staff. I hope no one else experience this. Will be booking with different hotel next time.
