We enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage! We would have been a little more reassured about the location if Google Earth hadn't shown a very cluttered area just in front filled with children's toys, a camper and other items, though! Found it a bit difficult navigating from the parking across the lowly light ground in front (uneven lawn). Otherwise, everything was just perfect. Hosts very responsive. Thank you!

This property is very isolated and not walkable to anywhere. There is a strong smell of mildew and we could not stay there because one of us has asthma. However, the host declined to give us any refund and VRBO spoke to him but allowed him to charge us for the 6 day stay even though we didn’t check in. We expected to lose something but not the entire fee. We submitted doctors proof of asthma but it didn’t make a difference. The parking area is very uneven with tall grass and the staircase to the upstairs is very steep. Definitely not suitable for children or elders. The mildew smell was really pungent. I do not recommend this property.

Location de qualité
La maison est chaleureuse, on s'y sent tout de suite très bien. Spacieuse, bien équipée, literie de qualité, très propre et belle décoration. Accueil sympathique avec un beau feu de bois dans un grand poêle Godin. La localisation est parfaite pour de belles balades et des merveilles architecturales et culturelles.

Lovely homely spacious clean property
We stayed here for a couple of nights. It was a lovely spacious home that was fully appointed, so it felt very homey and I could imagine you could stay there for much longer with a family because it had an oven/ stove/ dishwasher/ washing machine/ washing line/ heaters/ fireplace. The host has set up the fireplace ready to be lit when we got there, which was lovely because it was colder in the Loire than we’d expected. There were also then additional electric heaters in the bedroom. The beds were very comfy and there was a separate toilet and shower room. The bedrooms were also very spacious as was the downstairs which had a nice sectional sofa, a TV with lots of different channels and 2 separate dining tables to choose from (one in the kitchen and one next to the lounge room). The only negatives about the property were that there were no fly screens on the windows/ skylights and a faint musty smell downstairs.

Good well equipped property but
More information about arrival is needed. The vineyard where we were to pick the key up from closed at 6.30, we didn’t arrive until 7pm. We phoned the numbers we had a daffiest no one answered them . Eventually someone did answer the phone and directed us to property, we were almost at a hotel by then.

Zentrale Lage im Herzen der Schlösser der Loire
Von hier hat man einen äußerst ruhigen, aber dennoch zentralen Ausgangspunkt zu den Schlössern der Loire. Bis zur City Amboise zu Fuß 20 Minuten. Gut gepflegte und moderne Gite in historischem Zustand und Umfeld mit zurückhaltender Betreuung.

Schöne Unterkunft mit super Lage
Wir haben unseren Urlaub in dem Haus sehr genossen. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und man kann sich sehr wohl fühlen.Das Untergschoß ist durch seine dicken Mauern angenehm kühl im Sommer. Highlight ist allerdings der Pool im Garten des Vermieters.Ein sehr gepflegter großer Pool, der abends von uns gerne genutzt wurde. Die Lage des Hauses ist für Ausflüge in die nahe gelegenen Schlösser der Loire super. Wir können das Haus besten Gewissens empfehlen.

Beautiful farm house for a peaceful french country getaway. This place is spacious and has everything you need and close to the amenities of Amboise. As a family of 4 with very basic french, we'd love to return to Amboise in general and to this place especially.

Great place to stay
Very comfortable place to stay with everything you could need. Near enough to Amboise to enjoy all the town has to offer and yet set quietly off the road so that it’s very peaceful. Really enjoyed our holiday thank you.

My daughter and I stayed here after a week in Paris and the calm peaceful atmosphere was just what we needed. It’s a beautiful area with friendly people and lot’s to see. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful property
Property exceeded expectations, very clean and very well equipped. Slight confusion about accessing the property but that was a language barrier issue and quickly resolved. Hosts were lovely and would highly recommend this property

Pleasant stay
Large comfortable house in very quiet and peaceful settings. Clean and recently updated. Enjoyed the standalone wood-burning fireplace in the evenings. Short drive to Amboise and to nearby castles. The sloped ceilings upstairs might be an issue for a very tall person.

Très beau séjour, le gîte est bien équipé, décoration soignée, literie confortable ! Le propriétaire est très disponible. Le gîte étant un peu frais en arrivant, le poêle nous a été allumé et du bois laissé à disposition, le top ! Nous recommanderons et nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

Situé à l'extérieur du centre ville mais à 5 minutes en voiture, le gîte est idéalement situé de toutes commodités mais également des sites touristiques. Son jardin est atypique et propice à la rêverie. Gîte avec tout le confort nécessaire. Nous reviendrons.

Great country place with a cozy fireplace.
It looks old on the outside, which is part of the magic for me, but is very nice on the inside. The weather was cold and rainy when we arrived but a fire was already burning in the stove. That was a very nice touch. Of course there are other heaters but the fireplace cozy to sit by and drink my coffee. This is a comfortable place that can easily sleep 5, maybe 6, and has a baby crib if you need that. Full kitchen and well stocked with utensils. It is put in the country but only 2-3 minutes drive from the center of Ambroise. It was a perfect spot to home base from. Highly recommended.

Spent 4 nights here and it was wonderful. Plenty of facilities in the property. It was also ideal for young children. Local area was very pleasant and there were lots of things to do within a short drive. Would definitely visit again.

Gite mal géré.
Communication médiocre. Accueil nul: personne pour nous accueillir alors que nous avions convenu d'une heure (18.00) Pas de no. sur la maison qui se trouve dans un chemin de campagne non éclairé. Nous avons dû retourner vers le village et frapper à une porte pour demander comment trouver le gîte. Maison froide, radiateur fermé, poêle à bois non allumé par - 2°. Lorsque finalement le proprietaire(?) est venu nous voir il s'est excusé en disant qu'il avait "zappé. Le linge de maison ne correspondait pas à ce que nous avions demandé. D'autre part, nous avons laissé une veste en laine accrochée à une poutre (pas de porte manteau dans la chambre à 2 lits ). Le proprietaire dit ne rien avoir trouvé. Ayant dit ceci, le gite est bien situe, spacieux et comfortable lorsque chauffé.

Bonjour Nous sommes navrés de ce désagrément d’accueil et de chauffage à votre arrivée car il s’agit d’une forte période d’activité pour notre exploitation viticole et nous nous en excusons. Habituellement les vacanciers arrivent vers 16h et ont rendez-vous sur l’exploitation viticole pour la remise des clés. Concernant vos autres remarques: Le linge de lit et de toilette est systématiquement prévu pour tous afin de parer aux éventuels oublis des vacanciers c’est pourquoi vous en aviez plus à votre disposition que pas assez. D’ailleurs mêmes les torchons et produits ménagers sont fournis. Le gîte est équipé d’un poêle à bois et de radiateurs électriques donc la maison n’est habituellement pas froide. Une veste a bien été trouvée par la femme de ménage mais au porte manteau derrière la porte de la salle de bain. Il va vous être retourné dans les prochains jours. Merci à vous et joyeuses fêtes de fin d’année.

Amazing!!
I cannot say enough good things about this property. It was like being in the French countryside that was close to the city. The house is so pretty- it is well furnished and very clean. We really enjoyed the fire. The outdoor area is gorgeous. The owner was very helpful and showed us around the apartment when we arrived. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. I would highly recommend this property! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!!

Dès votre entrée dans la maison, vous vous sentez comme chez vous. La cuisine est très bien équipée. Toutes les pièces sont spacieuses. Cette maison est située dans un endroit calme et paisible et à proximité du centre ville d'Amboise. Vous êtes à la campagne sans être éloigné de la ville.

Schönes Haus in toller Lage
Die Lage ist ideal, um ohne lange Anfahrten jede Menge Schlösser zu besichtigen. Das Haus ist schön und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, sauber und mit allem ausgestattet. Es gibt viel Stauraum für eigene Sachen. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen.

Perfect French Country Cottage
We stayed in this quaint character filled cottage for four nights with our two teenage girls. It offers plenty of space, comfortable beds, and a Smart TV (for Netflix). The kitchen has basic necessities for cooking, the bathroom has a hair dryer, and there is Wi-Fi. We purchased an adapter off of Amazon and were able to plug in our phone chargers. The communication was limited with the owner because we do not speak French but they were very welcoming and did their best to communicate with us.

Schönes altes Haus am Ortsrand
Ein sehr schönes Haus, ruhig am Ortsende gelegen, großzügig geschnitten und hübsch eingerichtet, unten durch die dicken Mauern relativ dunkel und kühl, im oberen Schlafbereich hell. Der Außenbereich ist sehr stimmungsvoll. Außer einer zweiten Gartenliege haben wir nichts vermisst. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

French gite with all the modern renovations!
Perfect location to explore the region. Quiet spot with off street parking. The gite is as advertized, clean and in wonderful condition. We couldn't have been happier. Had a little trouble communicating but I think we managed to understand each other. Would absolutely recommend and if we visit this area again wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

We love everything about this property. The host were very accomodating to our late arrival. We were traveling from the coast and arriving around 10pm. We contacted the host and they had the key waiting for us at the property and had a warm toasty fire waiting for us. Would DEFINATELY recommend and stay again.

Lovely little place to stay
Lovely location - in the countryside but walking distance into amboise which is a lovely little town to visit. Property had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy. Bit of a mix up when we arrived but once sorted we had a lovely couple of nights staying here on route to the ferry home.
