These include NASCAR and IndyCar, while also allowing folks to take part in Friday night drag racing on the main stretch (with their own cars). In 2014, the track will host the US Red Bull Air Race for the first time, in early September. Air racing is quite a spectacle! The track offers various packages for each event so be sure to see what they offer. These can include pit access, where you can obtain great views of the race and the behind-the-scenes action. Food and drinks are sold by a lot of different vendors, but the track's own vendors are the most reasonably priced.

This is our thrid summer spent here! We love coming back to this house to visit our family back in Texas. Theres always great communication with the host! The kids enjoy the pool very much. We enjoy the kitchen space. As well as rooms for the kids.

Beautiful property!

The house was beautiful with large rooms and adequate space for a family gathering. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The only issues we had were that the extra shower and sink in the half bath had very little water pressure and there were only 3 forks in the house. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much and will probably visit again.

Great home base for an out-of-towner.

The property was clean and as described in the listing. I really enjoyed the property. Traffic on US-287 was rather noisy but so constant that you don't really even notice it after a short period of time. This was a very relaxing and peaceful location for me. The back patio was comfortable and the pool was very clean. I had no issues that would require interaction with the host during my one week stay. My only suggestions relative to the listing is to mention the number of steps in/out and within the house for those that may need to use a wheelchair/walker. Also noteworthy is to mention the owners may be on property at barn and be clear that visitors are to asked to stay around the home/driveway. I would definitely like to stay there again when I return to the area and I would recommend this property to friends/family.

Absolutely Fantastic

The property was exactly what I was looking for: lots of space, secluded, quiet, and a fantastic pool. The host was extremely communicative and responded to any questions I had immediately. Also, unlike most places I have stayed there wasn’t a whole list of things to do at check out. The only minor complaint is that there was a shortage of silverware.

Independence Day Fun

We have stayed at this home several times and love it Location is off the road in an extremely private area. The house is large and beautiful. It is extremely clean and has everything you need. The outdoor area around the pool is shaded We stayed in the pool for hours each day. It was sparkling clean. We will continue to use this house in the future!

Great Kitchen, Nice Pool

This rental is decent for the price. We enjoyed the privacy and location. The pool was a little dirty when we arrived there, but we cleaned it up. The pool cleaning machine was going all weekend during the day. Which was fine, as there was only 2 adults, but I could see how that could be an issue if you had kids wanting to play. The inside is pretty well kept, the Master Bed was pretty uncomfortable, with a VERY prominent hump in the middle. There is a separate thermostat for the Master, which was a huge bonus. The house was set at 91 degrees when we arrived, so it took a really long time to cool down! It was HOT unpacking. The outside could definitely use to be cleaned up. Lots of spider webs with dead leaves on the patio, which kept blowing into the pool. If they even just sprayed it down with a hose every few weeks, it would help a lot. There was a very full scorpion sticky pad in the hall between the master and the main living area (it’s an addition) which was creepy. It also made us hyper aware to look out for scorpions, so maybe that’s a good thing! All in all, the rental was nice. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend. They had some board games, like Yahtzee that we played too. The pool light at night was flickering, which made swimming at night difficult. Pool does get WARM during the day, but that’s to be expected, as we went in late June. You can tell the owners try to do a good job taking care of the place, and the cleanup we had to do was minimal

Second stay at this home

This was our second time to stay in this home. It’s just as lovely and clean as we remembered. This is convenient for us to run into Decatur, so we enjoy the convenience and amenities in this home. Will definitely stay here again if it’s available when we are in the area.

Beautiful house and surrounding area, one small exception.

The over property is beautiful and spacious. The 2 main rooms in the house large and very accommodating, the 1 small room is good for 2 teenager who are friends. The property owner answered the phone immediately when I called. The only small exception to an overall wonderful experience is a few unwanted pests in the house, nothing a good extermination couldn't handle. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to experience good Texas country living. P.S. you might see some deer and rabbits on the property as we did.

Second stay - great place!

This was our second year to vacation here and it was just as good as the first! The property is clean and spacious, and the property manager is very nice to work with. We like the location because it is private, yet it does not feel like you are completely away from humanity altogether since the highway is nearby. We find the highway noise somewhat comforting, but there are no neighbors right next to you while you're enjoying the pool or cooking out. For us, that is a perfect combination. It is in the country so we did see a few bugs, but that is to be expected and especially in the heat of the summer. The pool was clean and it is a good size for floating and throwing pool toys around. We enjoyed our stay here and may even look to return next year!

Better than what's picture.

The house was perfect for our family of 12. Had looked around for a house that would let us all stay together. The host was very nice and accommodated us. He was also very responsive and helpful. Do wish there where more kicthen utensils and more pots and pans as well as a mini leaf blower to blow the leaves off the pool area. Other than that the stay was perfect! We will definitely book again.

Fathers Day Getaway

It is not often my husband I have time to relax, especially together. We both work long hours, 6 days a week, as do our children. This makes family time very difficult, especially being miles from each other. We invited the kids out for dinner and a swim. Everyone was smiling and laughing the entire time.
