I am writing to formally request a refund or substantial compensation regarding a recent reservation I made through Expedia.
Prior to contacting you, I spoke directly with the hotel management. They informed me that because the reservation was made through a third-party booking platform (Expedia), any refund or compensation request must be handled by you.
The primary reason for booking this property was the availability of a hot tub, which was advertised as an amenity. Unfortunately, the hot tub was closed during our stay. This was a major factor in our decision to book this hotel, and we were not informed in advance that it would be unavailable.
In addition to that:
One of the rooms had no shampoo upon arrival. We notified the front desk and were assured it would be refilled, but no one ever came to address it.
The bed sheets in one of the rooms were visibly dirty, with brown stains on them.
We booked two rooms in total, and the overall experience was extremely embarrassing in front of my group of friends.
This was a very frustrating and disappointing experience that fell well below reasonable expectations, especially considering the price paid.
Given the circumstances, I am requesting either a full refund or a substantial partial refund to compensate for the inconvenience and poor conditions.
