This trip was one of the best experiences for me and my girlfriend, and overall everything was positive.
Our stay coincided with a severe winter storm that caused power outages in parts of Allentown, including the hotel. The outage created major disruptions — key cards malfunctioned, heating systems failed, phones were down, and essential services stopped working. Despite the chaos and obvious pressure, the staff performed admirably. I would especially like to recognize the manager Ms. Kim , who demonstrated exceptional leadership and composure during a very stressful situation. As a surgeon accustomed to high-pressure environments when critical systems fail, I can say the situation was handled as well as it possibly could have been.
For future emergencies, a temporary heating solution for lobby staff would make a meaningful difference, as they were assisting guests in the cold. Additionally, a small portable generator for minimal stairwell and exit lighting — or assigning staff to guide guests with flashlights — would further enhance safety.
We are sincerely grateful to the manager and the entire team for their professionalism and dedication.
