This place offers a unique, high quality experience with excellent wine choices and absolutely delicious food. The hosts go out of their way to really make their guests feel welcome and have a memorable experience. My husband and I loved staying here from swimming in the pool and enjoying the wonderful wines and foods while dinner for dinner there. Highly recommended staying here if you are in the Faro area.

Knus hotel!
Het is een bijzondere hotel, heel leuk ingericht. Knus, kleinschalig en heel gezellig! Wat tegenviel, de grote van de kamer, luchtvochtigheid was hoog (misschien omdat het regende), de kamer rook naar schimmel ook ivm regen denk ik. Plus punten, lokatie is perfect, personeel erg aardig, ontbijt was goed.

This hotel may have seemed luxurious when it was first opened but the rooms have not been properly maintained. Both of our rooms had various issues including deck doors not functioning correctly, the area surrounding the bathtub being totally water damaged (who surrounds a tub with wood instead of tile? illogical) (also the height of the tub and the width of the tub lip/surround, coupled with the insanely sharp edge of the wood, made it incredibly dangerous to get in and out of), faucets leaking, etc. Breakfast was OK mostly due to service. The food itself was quite tasty and varied. It would have been rather great if they offered it buffet style instead of serving each individual a separate plate for each item. We saw *so* much food go to waste as most people left the majority of all the small plates barely touched, and didn't feel comfortable asking for more of the foods we liked because we weren't sure if supply was limited. Plus, service was incredibly slow. We totally understand it's Portugal, it's very laid back and relaxed, and that's great, but it would be nice to get the coffee one asks for within 30 mins of ordering it.

Nice, modern bedroom with balcony. The properry is unique with lots of cute activity/social spaces, a pool, a sauna! But the best thing was getting to know Opus, the most playful, fun, loving golden retriever!!

Very eclectic property. Street it is on has a lot of closed / abandoned buildings & tons of graffiti. Wifi in our room was poor until they put us on a different network.

The staff is incredibly friendly which made our stay very enjoyable. We got into town very late and were very accommodating. The breakfast was a huge bonus!

Great location, easily walkable to all main areas of Faro. Beautiful building, large spacious bedroom and bathroom, beautifully designed. Great aircon and black out shutters. Lots of communal sitting areas…very comfy and well designed. Little outside area with pool is lovely too. Would recommend.

Très bel accueil. In térieur cosy, mais attention certaines chambres donnent sur la rue, donc assez bruyante en soirée et aucune intimité, obligation d'avoir rideaux et/ou stores fermés. Mauvaise odeur persistante dans notre chambre (problème de canalisations ?) Très bon petit déjeuner, fait maison. Bien placé versus centre ville et restaurant.

Absolutely bloody marvellous.
Outstanding We stayed at Opus One for 2 nights, and it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Intimate, private, beautiful, fantastic food and location. There's a great breakfast included, but you can also opt to have dinner as well. We had dinner there one night, and it was really special - delicious, and a wonderful atmosphere (they had a great singer-guitarist playing Spanish guitar). They've taken so much care and attention to creating something special - rooms for playing pool, relaxing, a little "library", plus outside there's a jacuzzi, pool, steam room and sauna, a bar and a wine cellar. I've never stayed anywhere quite like it.(I did copy this review as it summed up everything I wanted to say.) We are already booking for next year

We stayed at Opus One for 2 nights, and it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Intimate, private, beautiful, fantastic food and location. My partner and I had the most incredible stay at Opus One. The staff provided the best service we’ve ever received, nothing was too much of a problem, the food was out of this world. Would recommend to anyone that wanted a break away.

This property is very nicely decorated and it is obvious that the owners have very high standards of what a luxury stay is and do everything to achieve it. The attention to detail is what I most liked and the staff were excellent. When we go back to to the Algarve, this is where we will be staying. Highly recommended.

A beautiful boutique guest house near old town. Lovely rooms and beautiful dining area with excellent breakfast served to a high standard (dinner not eaten at the hotel). The staff are lovely and the small pool Is an added bonus. Highly recommended.

Luxe et raffinement
Magnifique guest house qui allie luxe et raffinement. De nombreux petits espaces superbes. Les chambres sont très belles, avec vu sur la piscine. Très bien placé, dans une petite rue au calme à 2 pas du centre-ville. Un accueil chaleureux et un petit déjeuner extraordinaire, très copieux et raffiné. Excellent rapport qualité prix, je recommande vivement.

super séjour d’une semaine
Guesthouse ne payant pas de mine de l’extérieur mais luxueux et très calme de l’intérieur. Très confortable,piscine,jacuzzi et sauna à disposition, personnels au petits soins,table d’hôtes le soir, petit-déjeuner très très copieux. Pleins de petits conseils donnés à l’arrivée pour visiter Faro et sa région. Établissement bien placé près de tout.

Above and beyond
Opus One in Faro is probably one of the best guest houses I've stayed at in the 4 continents I've visited in the past decade. At the very least I've never encountered staff so eager to please or willing to the extra mile. The accomodations are spacious and tastefully decorated, facilities such as the pool and bar area are vibrant and atmospheric, a great place to spend the afternoon and you'll be tempted to stay for diner once the kitchen staff takes over and tells you about tonight's tasting menu. In this regard a special thanks goes out to chef Migul Silva who, with his wonderful culinairy creations, made it exceptionally hard each night to leave the premisses. Your exceptional brand of hospitality is already missed!

Fantastic place to make your base while exploring Faro and the Algarve. Service was terrific and breakfasts were perfect to start a long day. Large comfortable rooms. Felt like we had a true home away from home for our stay. Obrigado!

Unbelievable!!! You must stay here. Wonderful staff, fabulous breakfast like none you have ever had, charming bedrooms, and fabulous extras like heated pool, sauna, Porto tasting room, pool room, and several sitting rooms. They are currently 3 houses interconnected but adding a 4th in a month or so. Such a charming place to stay and easy walk to the water center. Perfection

Best guest house ever
It is the BEST guest house I have stayed in, you feel so welcome and the rooms are amazing the breakfast is fantastic The design/ architecture is jaw dropping I highly recommend Opus one is the place to stay

La struttura gioca molto su come è arredata (in maniera egregia) per mio gusto personale la colazione sarebbe meglio a buffet e non servita al tavolo, manca un cestino in camera e asciugamani di grandezza normale nel bagno, c'è un locale adibito a biliardo trippo a contatto con le camere, che ha orari decisamente sbagliati ( 09:00/23:00), più di una volta sono dovuto uscire alle 23:30 per far smettere di giocare perché nelle camere ( non insonorizzate) si sente tutto. La cameriera per fare il letto si limitava a tirare su il copriletto senza tirare le lenzuola, chiaramente non sbatteva le lenzuola. Il proprietario (credo) è molto cordiale e disponibile inoltre la struttura su trova in una posizione strategica. Tirando le somme tra pro e contro mi sento di consigliare questa struttura.
