The Ledges Resort and Marina - Finch Cottage

  • The Ledges Resort & Marina has a total of ten cottages across six landscaped acres along the water. There views of the Boldt Castle, Sunken Rock Lighthouse, and the main shipping channel. Throughout the property you will find many beautiful spots to relax, read a book, take a walk, and fish. While the grounds provide privacy and lots of space, we are not in a remote location. It’s an easy walk to downtown Alexandria Bay. We are conveniently located in the heart of the 1000 Islands.

    The Ledges has a large in-ground pool and lounge area.. Each cottage has its own fire-pit where you can warm up under the stars. We even provide the firewood! We also have free kayak and canoes for our guests. Boat rentals and private boat charters are available onsite.

    This listing is for the Finch Cottage. It is a beautiful one-bedroom, one-bath cottage designed for two people. There is a living room and full kitchen. There is an attached deck with a gas grill and outdoor dining area. Next to the deck is your own private firepit.

    * IMPORTANT NOTE: Dogs are allowed. There is a $35 PER NIGHT/PER PET fee. Adding pets to your reservation through VRBO does not add the pet fee automatically. The pet fee will be added and charged after the reservation is confirmed. Pets must be leashed, cleaned up after, an kept off furniture.

Another great stay!

Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. The Finch was very clean and we had everything we needed. The decor is perfect for the location. We love the opportunity to have an outside fire each night, and the fact that the wood is restocked. The location is fantastic…peaceful and picturesque.

We stayed in the Finch and loved it. Bed was super comfy and the shower is divine! I love the care and thoughtfulness that is put into every aspect of the cottages and the grounds. There is everything you need for cooking and a dishwasher! We brought our two small dogs, and we enjoyed exploring the property, especially by the docks. The fall decor is grogeous. Each cottage had its own pumpkin, firepit with supplied wood, kindling and Adirondack chairs, and outdoor table area. I highly recommend The Ledges and we will definitely return!

Although The Ledges is a lovely place (a pretty and well stocked cottage and very nautical outside setting) we were disapointed w/the noise level coming from the adjacent marina. The music was blaring until 1 am on both Friday and Saturday nights along w/people singing and yelling, on Saturday night, until the rain sent them inside. It was ridiculous at some points. We would have given a 5 if not for this reason.

Getaway at the Bay

This is a lovely cabin with a beautifully landscaped yard and close to the water. We had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the Boldt Castle and boat tour! Nice restaurants and shops just a couple of blocks away. Great location.

Beautiful Place

My stay at the Ledges was my favorite place in Alex Bay the staff were fantastic. Every detail is thought of no need to go anywhere! My stay included 3 of the cottages and all were comfortable and spotless. Will book again and make a regular stay every year!

Fabulous place on the River!

I've been going to the Thousand Islands for over 30 years. The scenery is beautiful and serene. I stayed at the Finch Cottage at the Ledges for Memorial Day weekend and it was truly amazing. The cottage is architecturally very unique and the interior was beautifully decorated and very clean. Everyday, firewood was delivered for the fire pit. The outdoor pool was very clean and, best of all, the view from the cottage was spectacular. Congratulations to the owners for making this a first class vacation destination.
