Our grandest property! This incredible 3600 square foot log lodge was completely remodeled in 2022 and features 5 bedrooms with sleeping space for 14 guests. Sky Pine Lodge backs up to 14,000 acres of protected watershed land, and you’ll feel like you’re away from everything despite being just 15 minutes from Jim Thorpe or Lake Harmony.

The main living area is bright and open. Soaring vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows allow the natural sunshine to flood the space with light. Unwind on the sprawling sofas, where there’s plenty of seating for everyone to be comfortable. Watch Netflix, Hulu or Disney+, play games, or simply enjoy the gas fireplace and the view.

The kitchen is open to the living area — perfect for large groups. A custom built-in dining banquette and extra long farmhouse dining table can seat up to 12 people for meals (plus you can always squeeze in another few kids, of course). A large granite island has casual stool seating for three more. The brand new chefs’ kitchen is fully-equipped with all the culinary tools you’ll need to prepare snacks, meals, and cocktails for your crew.

The house is fully stocked with soft, hotel-quality sheets, bath & hand towels, duvets and soft blankets, and ready for your getaway! No need to bring anything, unless you'd like an extra towel for the hot tub or the beach. We provide one deluxe bath towel per guest, plus plenty of hand towels and washcloths are stored in the bathrooms.

This home was professionally designed and uses only the highest quality furniture, mattresses and decorations. Features include:

• High quality sheets and duvet comforters on all beds
• Smart TVs throughout the home so you can enjoy complimentary access to Netflix, Hulu and Disney+. Other channels are accessible with your own logins, too.
• We want you to have a worry-free vacation. When you stay with us, you are automatically covered for accidental damages to the property of up to $2,000.

Guest Access:
You'll have exclusive access to the entire home and surrounding 1+ acre yard including the fire pit lounge and pergola-covered dining area. Plus, there's a lot to explore right outside in the woods and protected Bethlehem Watershed nature preserve that surround the house.

The Neighborhood:
Sky Pine Lodge is located in Hickory Run Forest, a lightly-populated and sleepy mountain community in the heart of the Poconos mountains, 15 minutes from Jim Thorpe, PA. The house feels isolated once you're there, but you're ideally situated to enjoy northeastern Pennsylvania's famous local skiing, hiking, tubing, and waterparks!

You’ll be 15 minutes from Jack Frost and Big Boulder Mountains, and less than 30 minutes from Camelback Mountain. Plus Kalahari Water Park, the largest in the US, is only 30 minutes away! Enjoy a day of adventure and then return to Chestnut Tree Lodge, your personal mountain oasis, to dine and relax with your family.

World-renowned Pocono Raceway, aka ‘The Tricky Triangle’ is only 10 miles from Chestnut Tree Lodge. You’re only minutes away from world-class racing excitement! On non-race weekends, speed enthusiasts can get a taste of the action with a thrilling Stock Car Racing Experience and behind-the-scenes track tours.

If you’re in search of more outdoor adrenaline-pumping entertainment, world-famous Skirmish Paintball is only 10 minutes away in nearby Albrightsville, PA.

The Poconos is truly a four-season destination and there’s always something new to explore! Other local attractions include:

-Jim Thorpe. The historic Victorian mountain town known as 'Little Switzerland of the USA' is just 15 minutes away. It features excellent dining and drinking options, plus the Mauch Chunk Museum and Cultural Center which details coal mining history and the life of the town's namesake, Native American athlete Jim Thorpe. Stroll the quaint Main Street and enjoy great local cafes, restaurants and shopping. Plus, Jim Thorpe has become a big tourist destination thanks to their popular festival weekends, celebrating various holidays, the arts and seasonal highlights.

-Lake Harmony. A vacation destination for generations, where you can rent a boat for the day or find popular brunch and dinner restaurants. We highly recommend grabbing a drink and a bite one of the casual waterside restaurants!

--Hiking –
Enjoy the fresh air and abundant trails! The Poconos offers hiking experiences for those with any level of fitness or ability, from a short stroll around Weiser State Forest (tucked 100% within our community, only 5 mins away from the house!), a lovely lake (nearby Austin T. Blakeslee Natural Area is a short drive) to a more rugged trail at nearby Tank Hollow or Hickory Run State Park. And many more that you can discover on the very thorough AllTrails app!

We highly recommend spending a day exploring Hickory Run State Park, which offers a lovely lake with a sandy beach and the unique Boulder Field.

--Rafting
The Poconos is well-known for its world class whitewater! Enjoy dam-release weekends on the Lehigh River for extra thrills, or choose a calmer rafting experience that's fine for family members ages 4 to 94.

--Shopping
Have a rainy day? No worries! The Crossings Premium Outlets is only 25 minutes away in Tannersville. Or wander around the charming Poconos' towns of Jim Thorpe or Stroudsburg. Kids love the Electric City Aquarium in Scranton, an easy 40 minutes away.

Getting Around:
We highly recommend exploring the Poconos and the area around the Sky Pine Lodge by car so you can really take advantage of everything the area has to offer!

It is possible to reach Sky Pine Lodge by Greyhound bus to Lehighton, about 20 minutes away, and then taxi/uber to the house, if you plan on having a quiet reclusive weekend.
