I didn't like that when something was needed in the room, for example shower gel or shampoo you had to call more than once because it wouldn't arrive. Sometimes towels were not left in the room or blowdryer. We didn't enjoy Tequila Restaurant. The rest was excellent.

This resort is very family friendly, which I liked. If you’re looking to party as an adult maybe look elsewhere. This being my 1st all inclusive it was a good experience and worth the price for myself and another adult. The reason for 4/5 is b/c I wouldn’t consider it luxury- it’s not the Ritz BUT it’s comfortable, clean and safe. Food options were okay, their Brazilian steak house was probably the best on site restaurant. Beach wasn’t really for swimming, but was perfect for sun bathing. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The tours booked via hotel made life really easy. I would go back with my family as I saw tons of activities for kiddos.

Although the resort is well maintained and food is good, having no AC in the resort makes it a 3 star experience. Unfortunately I would not come back because of this.

lots of fun , great service, very friendly but professional, goo food, room, entertainment, breakfast, and the only thing I need to mention was the drinks at the pool were a little weak, but in the heat and all day , maybe that is a good thing.

El lugar es bonito pero para ser un concepto de all inclusive nos pareció que le hace falta mucho por ofrecer en tema de servicio del personal (nadie te atiende y si te atiende no es con la mejor actitud). Las distancias son muy largas, dependes de un transporte que te lleva a los otros lobbys si es que reservaste en algún restaurante de especialidad o hay algún evento especial. Nos quedamos en Grand Tulum y es muy bonito, la suite muy cómoda, pero de nuevo el servicio: no tienen room service, sólo tienen un restaurante buffet con horarios nuy restringidos así que por las tardes dependes de la comida rápida que ofrecen en el bar y eso puede cansar también (además de que tienes que caminar mucho para ir por comida) en general es bonito pero es MUY CANSADO ya que estar esperando por los carritos es muy tardado también y a veces van muy llenos así que tienes que esperar de nuevo u optar por caminar. Si eres alguien que disfruta mucho caminar entonces está bien, nosotros íbamos con niñas pequeñas así que hubiéramos preferido otra dinámica. Las albercas de juegos y el kids club excelente.

We didn’t receive any VIP or anything at all and it was our anniversary and 3 times when to the guest services to tell them to do something for my wife in the room and they didn’t and I even had to ask to clean the room

Average stay. Check in staff and customer service training could be better. Language barrier seems to be a predominant issue. kitchen serving staff is great, relatively more options for vegetarians. It looks like the property has given a great platform for Indian food for the buffet although it’s executed poorly. Probably one of the worst Indian food we have had in a resort like this. Nans are as brittle as crackers and Bhatura are thicker than pizza crust. Curries were served cold on the buffet table, most curries tasted the same. I don’t believe the chef is trained properly. Another setback was to find out dining in restaurants aren’t included for each day of your stay, it’s half the number of days. In our case we stayed 5 nights and got to pick the restaurant 2 days- that’s included. Any more reservations will cost you money.

The dinning areas were very hot, even the a la cartes with closed doors there seemed to very little air conditioning. Eric and Dominico from the activities were so much fun and they did an amazing job of engaging everyone. I love the big bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. An amazing thing to add would be body moisturizer in the same format.

Overall a great resort. Lots of options for food and Al la carte restaurants. The buffet also had lots of options including vegan and gluten free food. The staff was really friendly and there were lots of activities on the resort. The entertainment was also very good. The beach was nice but a little rocky and we were there during the time when there was a lot of seaweed which they did a good job removing as best they could each day. There was also a great little market but it was a bit expensive. We had a great stay!

We spent one week at this resort and can’t say enough good things about it! We were hesitant bc of some of the negative reviews but I honestly didn’t experience anything bad while staying here. The staff is amazing, the food is great, lots of things to do, etc. 10/10 recommend!!!

The property was nice. It was hard to get into the specialty restaurants. They were all booked. Taking back the bird and animal running in the buffet cast. The gym was under construction. Other than that hotel was very nice people nice. The food was good. I wish I had known you can go to the other restaurants in the other properties before the end of my trip. I did not get that information upon check in. Yeah

If you are looking to be secluded, then this is the place for you. It is a very nice, large property and I love the fact that you can move between their sister resorts. But honestly, if it wasn’t for that, I am not sure if I would have enjoyed it here as much.

Bahia Principe Grand Tulum was a beautiful resort to stay, we upgraded our room and the only issue was we couldnt use the jet tub since the drain plug wasnt working and a door issue which they fixed promptly. It is a very large resort so any room requests such as towels, water typically didnt happen when requested. Besides that the resort itself was fantastic, the kids club must have been great since our kids didnt want to leave. A few people that stood out to make our experience that much better was Yoda part of the entertainment team and Hugo from the Tequila Mexican restaurant.

Overall very satisfied with the property. Many different areas to spend the day at depending on what mood and vibe you are looking for. Lots of activities during the day and night around the pool and in the theater. Buffet was very good. Lots of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A la carte dinners lacked a bit. Expected more from the Mediterranean restaurant. Japanese and the Grande Tortuga were average. Definitely felt safe walking around and staff always made us feel welcomed. Would definitely recommend this property.

The property itself was stunning. Housekeeping and wait service were fantastic (particularly Emanuel at the buffet). However, when we first arrived, the check-in clerks were unfriendly and unhelpful. Certain things I'd like to clarify for others so they may make an informed decision before booking in Bahia. It's a massive complex with three properties, each with a levels. The lowest level is Coba (which has a terrific water park and several decent restaurants), the middle is Tulum, and the highest is Akumal. The water parks for kids are incredible and are definitely the resort's highlight. On a side note, the beach isn't particularly swimming-friendly. Sand area is small, with a rocky entrance. We went with my mother-in-law, who is in her 70s, and my three-year-old kid, and they put us on the third floor. Normally, I would not have thought to request that my room be floor accessible, but the resort does not have elevators. So after the first night, she was unable to get up and down the stairs. The air conditioner in our room also broke the first night we were there, making for a tough first night. So, after dealing with the front desk, saying they can't assist me with either of my complaints. The supervisor, Rodolfo, was helpful and was able to convert our 2 reserved rooms into floor level. The hotel only allows 1 meal reservation for every 2 days of stay. This information is significant because the hotel's rooms and amenities are not clearly described.

Great first stay at an all inclusive, staff mentioned the carts would be around a lot more often then they were.
