Loon Landing Cottage offers a perfect getaway for families! With its cozy yet modern amenities, there's something for everyone-whether it's boating on Weslemkoon Lake, sitting under the stars by the campfire, or exploring the nearby ATV trails. The combination of a peaceful retreat with outdoor adventure options is sure to create lasting memories. This new tiny home has two bedrooms, one bath, full kitchen, laundry, lake access, private dock, fire pit, and an outdoor patio. Relax, explore, enjoy!
Full season cottage!!! Private dock and access to the boat launch included in your stay! Pontoon, fishing boat, kayak, canoes, paddle boards and electric bikes for rent in the immediate area! Public beach within a 13min drive from the cottage, includes parking, boat launch and bathrooms (see additional photos for details). We are not a waterfront property. Weslemkoon Lake does not have a public beach or launch, however we include access to the boat launch, parking, and your own dock, during the duration of your stay at Weslemkoon Marina (further details below). This marina is only a 2 minute drive from the cottage or less than a 20 minute walk. The lake itself is less than a 5 minute walk from the cottage, the walk includes views of a small waterfall. The best swimming is within the larger portion of the lake, which includes large sandbars, flat rocky shoals, cliff jumping from rocks at various heights, or hanging out on a secluded island. There are good swimming spots (smaller islands) closer to the marina which can be reached by kayak or canoe. A local business in the area offers daily or weekly rentals of kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and electric bikes. They will drop them off directly to the cottage and pick them up after (we are not associated with the rentals but can provide you with the contact number). Weslemkoon Marina offers boat tours of the lake and drop off/pick up at swimming spots for a fee. There are also fishing and pontoon rentals available (we are not associated with the rentals but can provide you with the contact number). Gunter Lake has a beach shoreline where you can park and spend the day swimming. It is only a 13 minute drive from the cottage off of Weslemkoon Lake Rd on Gunter Lake Rd. There are numerous lakes in the area that can be reached via the ATV trails as well.

Bedroom one includes a queen bed and bedroom two includes a full over full bunk bed with a max capacity on the top bunk of 250lbs and 275lbs on the bottom. Each bedroom has a closet with hangers and clothing storage.
The bathroom is a three piece with a stand up shower. Shower stool and step stool for the sink included. The bathroom also includes: bath towels, beach towels, wash clothes, face towels, first aid kit, extra toilet paper, toddler toilet seat, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, body lotion, hand soap, and dental floss.
Dinning table includes two benches and can sit four adults comfortably plus children, depending on age/size.
The living room includes a small sectional and will have a large lounge chair and ottoman in the near future. The sectional pulls out to a full sized bed or can extend seating. Inside the moveable ottoman is extra pillows and on the ladder are additional blankets. The rug is washable so don’t panic over spills! It happens! The TV is operated via the firestick remote only. Watch Netflix, Disney, Prime, and Crave. The speaker below the TV can be used in conjunction with the TV for surround sound or on its own as a Bluetooth speaker. There are kids games and adult games in the console table drawer along with a Nintendo console that hooks up to the TV (cords for hook up are already attached to the TV on the right side). Cottage is equipped with WiFi.
Outside has chairs for six people, plus a lounger and a rocker, a fire pit, fire wood, and cornhole. BBQ with propane. Extensive parking on site. Included in your stay is access to a private dock in the marina, launch and parking, all within walking distance. *NOTE* if you require access to the boat launch and a dock, please advise upon booking and provide details on the size of boat you will be bringing. Last minute bookings are not guaranteed a dock spot but the launch and parking are always available. Further details of this will be provided upon booking. Outdoor outlets are available at the front and rear of the house.
We have future plans to add in a wood burning sauna and back patio.
There is an exterior camera that does not record and cannot be viewed for an extended period of time. It doubles as a flood light and is only used for security purposes as we live offsite.
Inside is heated with radiators in each bedroom and a heat pump in the main living area which also provides AC during the warmer months.
The kitchen is fully equipped except for a dishwasher. Includes all dishes (plastic so they are kid friendly), coffee thermoses, toaster, Keurig with Keurig pods, French press (no grinds are provided), tea bags, insta pot, griddle, pots and pans, slow cooker, serving dishes, spices, sugar, basic condiments, soap, dish rack, Tupperware, plastic wrap, serving bowls, tinfoil, parchment paper, baking sheets, baking utensils, cutting board, paper towel, etc.
The laundry room has storage for coats and shoes. Full sized washer and dryer with detergent. Broom and mop.
We offer guided fishing on Weslemkoon Lake for an additional cost. This is subject to availability, please inquire for further details.
