Musty rooms, ripped up sheets, broken drawers in the kitchen, filthy kitchen sink, old couches, dirty bathrooms, showers towels that smelled of smoke…I could go on. I came for a conference with 15 of my students, my husband, our daughter, and a co-sponsor and was left disappointed and quite frankly, pissed off. «Absolutely peaceful getaway! We spent the night here for a quiet, unplugged, & peaceful getaway and it did not disappoint. The house was fresh and spotless clean and not overwhelmed with artificial plug-in deodorizers (like many are). While there is a big TV and plenty of movies & games, we literally sat on the screened in porch and enjoyed the view until the sky was dark and again at sunrise. «The area is beautiful. Couldn’t get the heater to work properly. So it was a bit chilly. My husband did want to watch a little t.v. but the sound kept messing up. The screen door was broken and my husband was very concerned about the tape around all the outlets. He didn’t feel it was safe so we didn’t stay a second night. However, if you can get passed all that, it has a nice deck, the lake is just a few feet away and it’s just very pretty and peaceful.»

«The hotel is renovated and has 3 floors. The front lobby is in the 2nd floor. Parking is sufficient and it wraps around the hotel. The venue is located isolated from the noise of the expressway and other roads, which makes it ideal if you are looking for a quiet place to stay.
