When you try to find a hotel in London which is well connected to subways and busses (I prefer busses, cheaper and you see London in a unique way), and you want to spend less, then you have to move away from the centre, and Bayswater has many options. This hotel is one of many, close to the park, ten minutes walk from Paddington station, well connected to Oxford circus, Piccadilly, Harrods with busses that go all the time. But you are not close to anything special, and even caffees and restaurants are a walk away. You are there, where you go after your day is finished and where you start in the morning. The room and the hotel is not in good conditions. All furniture is a littel down, and everything is a little broken. But is works, the bed is fine, the room is clean, there is hot water and a good shower. So this is as expected, with the caveat that for the same price you can get a really elegant double room in many other cities. London is London, you know. I think I will try something else next time. Not because this was below what expected, but there is no real reason to come back. Service was very nice and helpful, and despite rehabilitation work, we were not disturbed by it.
