«We chose to stay in this property because it was close to where we were visiting for the long weekend. It was clean and spacious. Communication with the owner was quick. The bed in the front bedroom was comfortable. The bed in the nicer room towards the back was too soft but perhaps a younger person would not have a problem with it. "The entire interior was tired and worn. Room smelled a bit like old cigarette smoke or mold - not sure which. Bathtub was stained and took 10 min to drain even though I only took a brief shower. Water pressure was weak. Carpet was heavily stained and marked up as were walls and doors. This hotel has an average rating above 7; and that is a mystery- must be riding on past glory- but that would have been long ago. Completely overpriced at $100 per nite (mid-week offseason Florida). And to top things off (for me anyway) the breakfast waffle machine did not work. The pleasant staff do not compensate for a woefully inadequate facility for the price."
