Small rooms ok service good food in the restaurant. The cleaning was ok but no more than ok. Good location About 400, - euros per night does not stand in relation to rooms, service, or cleaning And it was with out breakfast The best thing was probably the silence outside soo we got a good sleep

Sentralt og hyggelig hotell med flott betjening
Supert opphold, flott rom og rengjøring. Var litt vel varmt på rommet - men dette fikset betjeningen ved å fikse ventilasjon og sette inn vifte. Kunne nok også tenkt oss en bedre frokost inkludert i prisen enn banan, juice og yoghurt som ble hengt på døren. Da vi syns det er koselig å spise en bedre frokost i lag når vi endelig har tid.

Frightfully overpriced.
I needed to spend 3 days in Amsterdam last week. Due to my business there I thought it convenient for me to stay at a hotel located in the city centre. At the same time, knowing that Amsterdam is a city where flagrant prostitution is regarded as a major tourist attraction, I was prepared for safety reasons to select a hotel a little 'up the scale'. I didn't want to risk catching some hideous disease or bring home a host of bedbugs just by having to stay in a hotel for a few nights in Europe's sex & drugs capitol. My choice fell on 'The Hoxton', marked as a 4-star place. When I first entered the hotel, it looked promising. The ground floor holds a spacious two-story lounge with an adjacent bar and a restaurant opposite the reception area. So far, so good. The young girl at the reception desk received me kindly and professionally. Next, I entered the room assigned to me at the first floor. At first, I thought there must have been some misunderstanding. A narrow bed, a desk - small enough for the telephone, radio and water boiler placed there to occupy most of it, a tv-set on the wall, a tiny table with a chair, everything well-used and hence - rustic. That was it. And still the room seemed over-stuffed. It was the smallest hotel room I had ever seen, not counting sleeping compartments in trains or ferry cabins, the latter being what it actually resembled. It measured approximately 2x6 meters. For this 4-star glory, I had paid close to 200 Euro a night.

Sentralt hotell
Kjempefint hotell med meget god beliggenhet. God service og god mat i hotellets restaurant. Bodde på twin shoebox rom, det var mer enn god nok plass til to personer. Rommet er rent og det er praktisk med den lille frokosten man får på døren. Anbefales!

Mitt nye favoritthotell
Fantastisk hyggelig betjening og atmosfære. Gjennomført retro-stil, og en svært sentral beliggenhet i en hyggelig bydel. Rett rundt hjørnet for Damplassen og slottet, Anne Frank museum og "De 7 gatene". Hyggelig rom, enkel frokost levert utenfor rommet inkludert, eller topp frokost mot betaling i restauranten. Også veldig fornøyd med middag i restaurantem, pluss at baren hadde god atmosfære og bra drinker.

The Hoxton Amsterdam
Fantastisk flott hotell! Bra beliggenhet med kort avstand til det aller meste. Shopping, restauranter, kaféer og barer rett ved hotelltrappa. Restauranten og baren i første etasje er rolig og koselig. Deilig å slappe av her etter en dag eller to med opplevelser i fantastiske Amsterdam! Anbefales virkelig.

Veldig bra og trendy hotel som var møblert med gamle møbler, men som ble gjort på en moderne måte. Veldig smakfullt. Rommet var veldig bra, men noe viftestøy fra airconditionen selv om vi skrudde den på laveste stille. Gode senger. Lå litt anonymt til uten skilting, og selv taxisjåføren hadde problemer med å finne frem.

Jentetur til Amsterdam
Vi var 6 venner på tur som stortrivdes på dette hotellet. Er en bar i samme etg som resepsjonen, så om kvelden var det dj (relativ rolig musikk) og mange lokale som benyttet seg av stedet. Var en god atmosfære. Betjeningen var veldig hjelpsomme og hyggelige. Kort avstand til det meste, og hotellet lå i et veldig rolig område av byen. Vi var alle enige om at skulle det bli en tur til Amsterdam igjen så er det her vi vil bo :)

Gjennomført retrostil og fantastisk service
Ungt miljø der også 50 åringer passer inn. Veldig god service, sjekket resturanter og ordnet alt vi ba om med et smil. Likte retro stilen veldig godt, gjennomført. Lite rom, men hvem drar til Amsterdam for å ligge på rommet når byen er full av opplevelser. Anbefales absolutt. Kommer snart igjen.

Hotellet har perfekt beliggenhet, og personalet er veldig imøtekommende. Rent & pent hotellrom. Fikk inntrykk av at det var fullt av folk i baren/restauranten døgnet rundt, for det er det første som møter deg når du kommer inn i hotellet. Tydeligvis veldig trendy og populært. Ble ikke særlig imponert av hverken frokosten eller middagen, men helt ok. Om man ikke vil spise frokost i fellesarealet, kan man få en pose med müsli-yoghurt, banan og appelsinjuice hver morgen - de henger posen på en krok ved døren din på ønsket tidspunkt. Mange gode spisesteder og barer rett rundt hjørnet. Kjøleskap på rommet, og gratis vannflasker kan hentes i resepsjonen. Søvnen ble ikke forstyrret av gatestøy, men det var nesten umulig å lukke romdøren uten å lage høy lyd, så det var plagsomt mye slamring. Mange butikker i nærområder for den som er glad i å handle, og mange barer for den som liker å ta en pils mens man ser på folkelivet og alle de vågale syklistene. Alt i alt et veldig bra opphold :-)

Morsomt hotell. Veldig sentral beliggenhet. Trendy bar/ restaurant. Yrende folkeliv. Perfekt for kjærestetur eller vennetur. Kan egentlig tilbringe hele kvelden på hotellet.

The should offer valet parking. This was the only thing I did not like about the property. Parking is at a premium all over Amsterdam, and navigating the city streets as an outsider is truly challenging.

Amsterdam is not the best city for cars, as they're making big efforts to reduce the amount of traffic, and parking spots are very limited. Very nice place close to a canal. (You can have a room with the canal view too) Close to all the restaurants and shops - very convenient. It may be an European thing but no curtain or door between the shower and the rest of the bathroom so my bathroom floor was covered with water at the end of my shower…

The Hoxton is an amazing, hip boutique hotel in the 9 Streets neighborhood of Amsterdam. Incredible staff that went out of their way to help our son celebrate his 16th birthday. Lotto’s is a wonderful restaurant as well.
