We chose Marriott, as we always do for travel. Upon arrival last night, one of the 2 elevators was out of service. This morning all elevators were out of service. We were on the 5th floor and had to use the staircase. After my husband had several cardiac procedures recently, lugging suitcases down 5 flights was not safe. We tried to speak with the manager, Frank Rivera, but he was in meetings all day long and couldn’t speak with us. When I walked back in the door, the assistant manager was at the desk. When I explained that all elevators out of service is unacceptable, especially at a Marriott. He was rude and told me that he was sorry my husband had surgery, but he was dealing with 150 other customers. There was nothing he could do about the problem. I don’t understand how a Marriott property would allow all elevators to be out of service and they would hire staff in the hospitality industry that treat older patrons the way we were treated.
