The ocean view from our hotel room was spectacular. The staff were outstanding. Very helpful and friendly. The restaurants provided seating with awesome view of the ocean, providing you reserved ahead of time. The transportation service to and from the Nadi airport was great. Highly recommend this hotel for a great experience.

My family and I have visited this resort approximately five times, and we thoroughly enjoy it. It offers fantastic activities for kids, and we particularly love the restaurant food. However, during our recent visit, we encountered some rudeness from the staff at the pool bar/restaurant. Nevertheless, the rest of the staff were as amazing as usual. Lastly, we noticed that the beds, bed sheets, and pillows felt damp every day. Despite these issues, it remains a great resort for families.

We loved the Shanghai-La and the adults only options for staying and dining. It allows you to have a much different experience. Hotel rooms were very nice. Beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly

The staff were amazing and very accomodating. The hotel was tired and needs a refresh. not enough dining options, restrictions where you could sit at dinner etc was like being back at school. our room was damp and the air conditioning was broken. we asked to move and to give them some time. we went for a swim and came back two hours later and nothing had been sorted. eventually they moved us but not a great experience all round.

The staff were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great however the staff managed to pull out all the stops and make us feel comfortable and help us enjoy a great time. Will definitely recommend and be sure to be back however when the weather is better.

Extreme Family Holiday Dissapoitnment From time of arrival and check in was complete shambles. The feeling of chaos and uncomfortableness continues for every aspect of the stay. We were hoping for a week of relaxation and activities, instead we got: -A room that was dirty, mouldy, stuffy, smelly, mosquitos infested, damp room and linen. - A run down building which feels like you could be anywhere else in dodgy hotel anywhere in the world, you have no idea you are in Fiji. - No hot showers for the entire 7 nights - To get anywhere around the hotel it was very confusing and took forever. Maze of paths and stairways not accessibility (pram) friendly at all. - Every meal time was chaotic, it didn’t matter where we went the meal times were such busy, loud places with no happy hospitality. The vibe was extremely stressful with loud music and people packed in at the buffet. Food was very average for the price. -The smell of sewage leaked through the room as we had people working on the pipes outside our room. This smell continued doing the stay. -Staff were clearly run down and the friendliness we have experienced everywhere else and at other stays over Fiji was not evident here at all, we were just a number. -The pool was not relaxing with so many people, loud music and over chlorinated water. - Kids Club did not feel welcoming, safe or fun for the kids at all. Overall it really feels like is a dated four star hotel that has turned into a money making machine ripping you off.

We stayed is an apartment style 3rd floor walk up. It was a very older tile bathroom. The views were great but the property is very big. You send lots of time walking to everything. Staff immediately lost our car keys. After calling us 3x they found them. Staff were not as well trained at hospitality as other resorts. I small bottle of water was provided per day. More signage on trails and paths or more map posts would be nice. They marked building 2 on the map but our room was building 4. The inner reef has pretty snorkeling but go at high tide and wear water shoes with your flippers. The Asian restaurant was very slow. Not as good as the hype and they lost out bill. They hunted for a very long time. It was funny to see the land crabs running around after dark. If you phone for anything it rings endlessly and you might get someone but then what you request won’t happen for a very long time. One pool was closed for hours to fix the water. The stay was nothing terrible but nothing great. The best thing was the snorkeling but when we asked nobody tells you about it. If you go at low tibe there is no room to swim.

A lovely property but a little disappointing that there were limited restaurants open during our stay, apparently due to staff shortages. Lovely staff everywhere and the room was well equipped and comfortable. We have just moved to Double Tree Hilton but I would prefer to stay here. Great for children also with several pools, a great swimming beach and great water sports. Highly recommend.

PLEASE BEWARE, PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS PLACE. This resort is an absolute catfish, the photos online are so fraudulently I’m surprised further reviews aren’t like this. Which leads me into any reviews left above 2 stars online for this place should also be charged with committing fraud or are fake. Whoever took the photos either needs to again be charged with fraud or given the Pulitzer Prize for Photography. This place is so run down I think a renovation is too far gone and a complete knock down and start again is in need. When you think of the Shangri-La around the world you think of luxury, well think of Christmas Island detention centre for this place. We were booked in for 6 nights but had to leave after 2 days. Our room smelt of mould and was a miracle the air conditioning didn’t fall through the roof with the noise it was making. If you are a foodie order off the kids' menu or prepare to get ready to enjoy cold, stale, and flavourless food ideal for your detention centre stay.

Excellent place but is looking a little worn and needs a little face lift here and there. Also some more covered areas or additional umbrella's would be great for people with small kids.

Graeat location and property. But service lacking
