Great choice
We made a great choice. The location is perfect. Went to a nearby restaurant based on the desk clerk's recommendation and was told to tell them we were staying at this hotel and got a ten percent discount. Great meal too!

What we didn't even think of when reserving rooms here was the physical location - right on a street corner. Which can get fairly busy at morning and evening rush hours. For rooms near the back of the building, it's not too much an issue, but our rooms were right up front straddling the corner, and truck traffic at 6A was a little too much noise for a vacation. Otherwise, as other reviewers mentioned, staff go home at 10P, so make sure you have your room keys and anything else you need - you won't have anyone available until the morning. Rooms were pleasant enough (even if the walls are a little thin to hear a neighbor yelling at his phone); beds were a bit soft for my liking, but serviceable. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. I'd stay again - but asking for a room at the back!

We were pleasantly surprised to find this place so convenient to downtown Wellsboro's dining and shopping. Because it sits back off of the main drag it felt safe with plenty of parking.

Nice place to visit and good place to stay
We very much enjoyed our visit to Wellsboro. We enjoyed visiting friends, visiting Pine Creek Gorge, and several restaurants and sites in town. We found the Sherwood Motel a pleasant place to stay, within easy walking distance of TOPS grocery and CVS drug stores, several fast food places, and right on Main Street within easy walking distance of numerous nice restaurants and other places of interest.

Stayed for a night on our way to Western PA. Check in was very friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to eat. Motel is older but very clean. Beds were a little too soft for us. Motel is very convenient to a great Main Street and walkable.
