Great centrally located hotel with modernized rooms. We loved the modern room decor and the general ambience. The hotel does not exude luxury or refinement as we have experienced elsewhere, but still feels good

The room was clean and comfortable but outrageously over priced now that nightly rentals are banned in Vancouver. But most frustrating was that none of the electrical plugs worked. Not in the bathroom or any of the ones by the bed or desk. To do our hair or charge phones or laptops we had to unplug fridge or lamp. But there was no mirror. First world problems for sure but for what we paid we would expect electricity to work, and not acceptable for a 4 star hotel

The rooms were on par with a Comfort Inn. With 3 times the price, no breakfast and bottles of water at 10 dollars for standard and 8 for the mini i ended up with a extra charge of over $45 for 4 bottles of water. And come to find out there's a IGA food store within 500ft . If your going on a cruise, the distance is to far for older folks to walk and you have to take a taxi, so find a better place. They also charged my card $45 US more then the invoice at check out. Still fighting to find out why.

The hotel is in the heart of downtown Vancouver and the location is convenient for shopping, dining, walking or transportation. The staff is not very friendly and the cleanliness is average (carpet was dusty, bedsheet had a stain, bath mat had a stain).

Excellent location. The staff is extremely courteous, professional, and helpful. The rooms are kept very clean. The room is comfortable, quiet, and the bed was comfortable on the back. We would definitely return to the Sutton and recommend it to our family and friends.

I planned on using The $25 VIP reward I was supposed to get on breakfast so I went to the restaurant at 8:50am and was told that they were going to stop serving breakfast at 9am “So sorry” but I could order room service. When I checked it out the elevated costs for that service was total BS. $12 for a cup of coffee???

We very much enjoyed our room. Hotel lobby was very inviting and light filled. Staff were great and helpful. Close to restaurants and shopping. A movie theatre was across the street and one block away was an IGA grocery store opened 24 hours a day that had anything you could want including hot meals. If travelling for medical reasons the Saint Paul's hospital was within walking distance.
