So we weren't in the room a lot but it was very dated and musty smelling. the furniture was very stained and dirty so we just kept it covered with the sheets that they did supply. They wanted us to get our own towels from the office and take our used ones back to the office. The pictures were nothing like the room. «Our host were most helpful and attentive during our stay. Every detail mentioned in the listing was accurate. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Our two labs enjoyed the large fenced in yard on the occasions when I didn't walk them in the neighborhood. We drove our Airstream van and were offered the opportunity to plug in to keep the fridge cold and batteries charged. I would highly recommend anyone this place.»

The only draw back was the actual distance to the ocean- you could walk it- but you have to cross a busy road. We were lucky enough to have family also visiting that had a rental that was beach front- so we didn’t have to make that walk or have to pay for parking if we drove over to the public parking. «This cottage is a hidden gem among the typical looming new structures on the island. Morning coffee (bring your own or get some at the nearby Harris Teeter store) was lovely at the front deck cafe table or in the screened porch. The beach is a very short 2 block walk. «We stayed on 5/19-5/21/24. The check-in was perfect. Lots of help, informative and kind staff. The room was clean with extra towels. A little musty due to the humidity but not the fault of hotel. Once the air was on it was fine. The pools were well maintained and the beach was right out front. Didn’t use restaurant. Parking wasn’t far. Had security at night idk about daytime wasn’t a problem.
