A very nice hotel outside Oxford
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The rooms are modern and very nice. There was a hickup when we arrived (they hadn't installed the extra bed we needed), but the staff was very friendly (and apologetic) and fixed it quickly. The indoor pool is not big, but nice, as is the large garden. Breakfast was good. Free parking. All in all enjoyable.

Good SPA. Had a massage and my masseuse was fantastic. Very skilled. Facilities were pretty ok. Hotel otherwise ok. Dated interiors. Good service from pleasant staff.

Perfekt for famile som renger et rom for natten
Vi trengte et familierom så vi fikk et stort rom med to ekstra senger. Ligger litt utenfor et sentrum men perfekt for familie som trenger et rom for natten. Ungene koste seg i basenget.

Not the value I expected
Was my second stay at this hotel and both times rooms have been old and out of date. Great breakfast I have had 3 dinners and eaten 3 different main dishes. In my opinion all 3 dinners were not at the level I expected.

The hotel itself was nice, staff are really helpful however we were disappointed that there was no in-room dining despite the website advertising this as well as the information channel on the TV in our room. There are no shops or restaurants within walking distance so if you don’t have a car you will have to eat at the hotel restaurant. That said we found a lovely farm shop which opens on a Saturday which was a 15 min walk.

Very clean and well kept hotel. Beds very comfortable. Lovely walk in shower in bathroom. Very convenient for Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons, which is only a 5 minute drive away.

It was inconvenient that hotel check-in was at 4pm, and we were shocked that our hotel room wasn't ready when we arrived at 4:30pm. I was asked to wait 5-10 minutes, but after waiting for over 20 minutes, I left my baggage behind as I had a busy meeting outside.I stayed at several hotels in various cities in Southeast Asia last month, but this was my first time experiencing such an extremely uncomfortable hotel. The employees weren't very sorry and were unfriendly. The hotel cost was not cheap at all. I also asked the reception to make the bed in our room, but I was really annoyed and angry when I saw that they didn't do it when we returned to the room. I was so tired that I just asked for a change of towels. Lastly, finding a hotel room is as inconvenient for travelers like us who came from the US with large and heavy luggage.

Friendly and welcoming
Great location for different areas. Hotel was friendly and welcoming. Swimming pool was good. Although at this time of year the seating outside looked good but not for February. Restaurant offered a wide range of food. Buffet breakfast was well stocked up.

Lovely hotel for a countryside escape
Booked as a late birthday trip for my boyfriend and it was well worth it! Warm cookies on arrival, free access to the gym, pool, sauna and steam room. The grounds were also lovely. Only downsides were the radiator not working in our room (the staff did offer to move us, but we were exhaused so opted not to) and only the bins being emptied when the staff came to clean

Very Disappointed Stay.
Service regarding the restaurant was very poor, waited best part of an hour for my food, only for it to be served to someone else. Bar staff under pressure due to faulty tills and receipt machines acting up. Received flea bites on my second nights stay so I checked out early.

Very dissapointed overall, shower gel empty, spoke to reception late afternoon, not refilled until the next afternoon after again reporting it in the morning. Next day bed was not made found it as we left it, had to ask for towels as only one left for 2 people. Next day bin not emptied and twa cups not cleaned, again not enough towels, had to collect at reception so house keeping was poor. The bar £15 for a double gin??? A bottle is £30, £12 for a large glass of wine and this is with Hilton Honours, really not impressed at all. Breakfast was good and thats the best bit. Overall not impressed at all. Staff were ok but got fed up with apologies, just provide the service Hilton used to be known for

It was newly decorated to a high standard. The bedroom were warm. They did put the heating on unlike other hotels. Lovely pool and breakfast. The only minor thing is the lack of directional signage around the hotel. At various corridor junctions and coming out of the lift there is no / or lack of signage to navigate. But it's no big deal at all.

Worst doubletree I’ve been to
Honestly probably the worst hotel I’ve been to. I have been to many doubletree hotels, I travel quite a lot and stay in different places. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel? To begin with out window was broken so we could hear all the noises from the motorway. Breakfast was mediocre, cold and lots of dirty plates. Many staff around but all too busy staring at each other instead of helping. Also, when we asked for some room service - unfortunately they don’t do that. On top of that we kindly asked to get our rooms cleaned, they just used to the old bedsheets and placed it back like we can’t notice that. Shampoo and shower gel never got refilled. Also, no AC in the rooms, is this a 4 star hotel. Honestly, I feel the the session management at Hilton should look into this hotel, I’m not trying to make you look bad. For future references and too keep more customers, these stuff must be fixed. Been to many Hilton hotels around the world and this was the worst. As a Hilton honors member I expect a bit more.
