I had a nice stay, but there was a dying cricket in my room when I got there, and the bathroom floor was not as clean as it should be. The music by the infinity pool was way too loud.

Ignorant and poor staff - could have been great
For being such a big hotel I was amazed at all and many of their silly rules and regulations and rude/unknowing staff. It started when we drove up to the hotel and there was a huge sign stating that we were not allowed to bring any drinks or food into the hotel area, just makes you feel like they want you to spend all your money there, and it is super expensive. Then at the check in we were asked to add money (cash) to our room account so we could charge things to the room, you are not able to just put it on the room if you don’t “top up” your account, never heard of this! Then on to what really was the problem, the lifeguards at the pools. They are equipped with whistles and they blow on them for literally anything. When they want to signal to each other to get a break and when they see a poor old man dipping his feet in the pool before the pool is closing because they want to go home. Absolutely horrible customer service! They state on their signs, and btw there are signs for everything, that the pool is open till the sun goes down. But the lifeguard asked us to leave the pool area even though it should be open and the sun was still up, I have never been this irritated. There were only 4 people in the whole pool and he kept blowing his whistle at us, this is not how you communicate with guests at a 4 star hotel. We had only booked breakfast but was offered the buffet dinner at a discounted price, when we got to the restaurant we were told that it was full price...

Et ekte fem stjernes resort
Vi bodde der rundt påsketider og hadde en veldig bra opplevelse som fortjener alle sine stjerner. Alt fremstår nytt, flott åpent og romslig. Restaurantene er bra og lobbybaren har åpent 24/7 hvis vi ønsket forfriskninger. Alle som jobber der, selv ryddegutter og vaskepersonale, er svært imøtekommende og gir konsistent meget god service. Egen strand som er veldig rolig og bra. Smart med sandsekkene man kan gå på for å komme forbi de skarpe steinene i bunnen av dødehavet. Lokasjonen er deilig plassert ved dødehavet. Det er verdt å merke seg at hotellet ligger litt ute i "resort-land", hvilket betyr at det ikke er så mye annet i umiddelbar nærhet. Det var f.eks. vanskelig å få tak i taxi og vi ble henvist til leiebil med sjåfør når vi ville ta en tur til Amman. Det var betydelig bedre standard enn taxiene, men også dyrere (vi betalte 140 JD for bil med sjåfør 5 timer noe som hadde kostet 50-60 JD med vanlig taxi). Men oppholdet var likevel helt topp og etter turen ønsket vi at vi hadde vært litt lenger her da det var helt egen klasse av de hotellene vi var på.

I was expecting more
Bed was too soft. We were told at reception that we had free access to a "fully stocked" mini-bar: it contained pop and fruit flavored drinks, not even real juice. We had 2 bags of tea when we arrived and they never added more. On the positive side, access to the Dead Sea was great.

Jag och min sambo bodde på hotellet en natt när vi var i Jordanien. Vi betalade 2600kr och förväntade oss därför hög standard på hotellet. När vi kom dit träffade vi en mycket trevlig man som jobbade där och han hjälpte oss att checka in, servicen överlag var mycket bra till en början och vi var nöjda med personalen men hotellrummet var under all kritik. Läget och själva rummet var bra men sängen var så mjuk att det inte gick att sova i den och kuddarna superhårda. Badrummet var inte rent och handdukarna var håriga från andra hotellgäster, i handfatet låg hår och när vi duschade fylldes badkaret av vatten pga att pluggen inte fungerade som den skulle. Duschdraperiet hade även fläckar vad som såg ut att vara gammalt blod eller liknande. Vi ringde receptionen om detta och vi fick nya handdukar och en man kom och fixade badkaren genom att ta bort pluggen helt, så det var ”bra” men över lag absolut INTE värt pengarna. Vi betalade även frukost och middag i receptionen som kostade 1600kr för oss två och maten var inte bra alls. Servicen på middagsrestaurangen var under all kritik, de frågade oss inte ens om vi ville ha något att dricka. Vi kommer inte att åka tillbaka till detta hotell!

we could stay there and eat all day long ....perfect beach and spa ....honest stuff...they found one bag that we forgot and send it to germany to us .... only complain is they didnt know that our stay was already paid but we show them the transaction in our banking app and everything was okay...

perfect for a relaxing stop after touring Jordan
this was our final stop after touring Jordan. We chose the hotel for its location on the DS and because we trust IHG. we wanted to relax and enjoy the natural wanders of the location and we totally met our expectations here. the beach is fantastic, the pools are very well and well maintained. staff was friendly. just the dinner buffet was a bit below our expectations in terms of food variety and service. also the breakfast buffet could be improved.

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are very nicely appointed. The property is well maintained and the pools are terrific. The bar staff at the lobby bar were very nice and helpful. The biggest challenge is the dining at the hotel. The Lebanese food was not good and I do like Lebanese food. Plus the service was tragic. Ambrosia for breakfast was adequate, but no more than that.

Room smelled of sewage. I brought up the concern and the response was that this must be related to the sewage treatment plant behind the hotel. Pool was dirty. Food was ok. Will not be back.

We were greeted by unprofessional staff. The lady of the other receptionist informed me that I need to pay for an additional bed. I was not aware of this condition as it does not align with international travels that I’ve done in the past. I ended up paying $100 for a bed only to find it that bad for a kid not for an adult. So I had to share the twin bed with my daughter. I requested a refund but they did not offer me any resolution. The bed that they gave us was a child’s bed and they knew that there were three adults in this room.. I should not pay for something that is not within standards.. place was filthy

A total rip-off. For the price, the rooms are outdated, curtains torn, old bath tub/shower with curtain. Food inedible. I had a cheese omelette, that tasted like it was filled with plastic. They could not even offer an edible pizza. The staff, I am certain, is poorly paid and it shows. They try, but not to the high cost of this third-rate wanna-be resort. The spa is the only nice feature. Noisy, music blaring until midnight making it impossible to sleep. I could not wait to leave. I cannot believe my stay at the Crown Plaza cost more than the exquisite St. Regis in Amman. I honestly felt like I was on a third-rate cruise ship with even worse food.
